Jupiter-4
Roland’s Jupiter-4 was the first to carry the gas giant’s mantle. It was introduced in 1978 to kick-start a long line of polyphonic synths whose sounds would define an era. Fat leads and evocative arpeggios spanned genres, with the Jupiter-4 finding a home with artists ranging from Duran Duran and the Human League to Thomas Dolby and Vangelis, to name a few — the last of whom made tremendous use of the synth’s famously slow LFO to produce lengthy filter sweeps. The trailblazing 4-voice polysynth has been meticulously re-created with Roland’s proprietary ACB technology, delivering raw analog character and a detailed interface for the complete Jupiter-4 experience.

Jupiter-8
The Roland Jupiter-8 reigns supreme amongst the heavyweights of vintage Roland analog synthesizers. With 16 oscillators spread across eight voices of polyphony, the Jupiter-8 spews forth thunderous synth sounds befitting its moniker — ultra-lush pads, evocative leads, and chewy bass sounds. The Jupiter-8 software synthesizer is a stunning re-creation of the original hardware unit, powered by Roland’s groundbreaking Analog Circuit Behavior technology, which emulates every component of the analog signal chain that was the soul of the Jupiter-8. Relatively simple to program but vast in creative potential, the Jupiter-8 has everything you need to build extraordinary patches, including a creamy filter section with 2- and 4-pole modes, an LFO, oscillator sync, cross modulation, and the beloved classic arpeggiator. Favored by countless new-wave and electronic music pioneers like Depeche Mode, Duran Duran, Tears for Fears, and Orchestral Manoeuvers in the Dark, the Jupiter-8 has found new life in revivalist synthwave, futurepop, and indietronica. Synthesists at Sweetwater were ecstatic to get their hands on the Jupiter-8 virtual synth, and they found it has all the charisma of its forebearer with the convenience of software. Get your hands on an iconic analog masterpiece with the Jupiter-8 software synthesizer from Roland.
JUNO-60
As Roland’s first MIDI-enabled polyphonic synthesizer, the JUNO-106 is a synth icon featured on countless records that defined the sound of the 1980s. However, before the JUNO-106 hit the market, it was preceded by the equally lush JUNO-60. Sporting essentially the same synth engine as the JUNO-106, the JUNO-60 served up monster pads, epic stabs, and scorching lead lines. Some synth aficionados even claim that the JUNO-60 holds a slight sonic edge on the JUNO-106 because of a deeper analog punch. With a short two-year production run, the JUNO-60 is a rare vintage synth that commands exorbitant prices on the collector’s market — if you can find them! But Roland has made the JUNO-60 once again available to the masses with the Roland Cloud JUNO-60 software instrument. Meticulously re-created using Roland’s cutting-edge Analog Circuit Behavior technology, the JUNO-60 soft synth is brimming with the syrupy analog vibe of the original but with all the advantages of a virtual instrument, including automatable parameters, limitless preset storage, additional effects, and a condition knob to adjust the age characteristics of the synth. Synthesists at Sweetwater have been pining for an authentic emulation of this storied synth, and Roland delivered big-time. Ride the synth wave with the Roland Cloud JUNO-60 software synthesizer!

JX-3P
As the popularity of synths exploded in the early 1980s, musicians were clamoring to add one or more of these analog sound machines to their rigs. However, the available synths were expensive and could be complicated to program for nonexperts. Enter: the Roland JX-3P, which featured a stripped-down control surface and came in at a more comfortable price point. Sharing some similar sonic characteristics with the formidable Roland JUNO series synths, the JX-3P was loaded with a killer collection of presets, which gave newer synth users push-button access to the popular sounds of the time. But the JX-3P had a few tricks of its own, including dual-VCOs versus the single oscillator found on JUNO synths, lending a creamy, fat sound that was perfect for massive pads and searing synth lines. For intrepid synth players, adding the Roland PG-200 synthesizer programmer opened up the JX-3P to expansive sound design on par with Roland’s JUNO and Jupiter series. The Roland JX-3P is a stunningly accurate reproduction of the original unit, relying on Roland’s groundbreaking Analog Circuit Behavior to deliver all the lush analog goodness you would expect from a 1980s-era Roland synth. Synthesists at Sweetwater have long considered the JX-3P as one of history’s most underrated synths, and now, it can be yours for a fraction of the cost of vintage units!
JUNO-106
Few analog synths are as instantly recognizable as the Roland JUNO-106. Featuring up to six notes of polyphony with one digitally controlled oscillator per voice, the JUNO-106 generated incomparably lush pads and stirring leads. Used in conjunction with its legendary chorus effect, the JUNO-106 had unrivaled depth and dimension, defining the blissed-out synth sounds of the 1980s. Prices for vintage units have skyrocketed over the last decade, as a new generation of synthesists has rediscovered this marvelous analog monster. But now, it can be yours at a shockingly affordable price with Roland’s stunning virtual reproduction. The JUNO-106 Software Synthesizer leverages Roland’s groundbreaking Analog Circuit Behavior technology to bring all the vintage vibe of the original unit to your computer-based digital audio workstation. With its intuitive control surface, the JUNO-106 is a pleasure to program, allowing you to create a limitless range of complex, musical patches. The software version expands on the original by adding two additional voices of polyphony, a new selection of effects, and a brilliant arpeggiator. A favorite of synth heads at Sweetwater, the JUNO-106 is a staple synthesizer and a time machine that transports you back to the halcyon days of analog synthesis.
