Instruments captured in stunning 8-microphone detail
As with all Quantum Leap collections, attention was paid to the utmost detail. Every instrument in Quantum Leap RA was captured in superb phase-accurate 8-microphone detail. Each instrument has an exceptionally clear and accurate sound, with a well-defined three-dimensional image. Microphones used were the Neumann U64 (U47s as alternates), the Neumann M50, the AKG C12, and Schoeps. The ensemble instruments included in the collection were also played by actual ensembles, giving them a sound and an interaction you can't accurately re-create by layering solo instruments.
