Gator Cables..
Great cables for the money...
Keeps bussing to a minimum...
Where has this been all my life?
This works! Period! I am running sound for an Open Mic Night hosted by a friend. This is perfect for those artists who unplug the instant they finish their song before I can mute the instrument channel. The cable will make some noise when plugging in if the preamp on the instrument is turned up. But, the noise is the the echo of the the cord being plugged in, not live connection noise that turns your speakers inside out. With Gator's Lifetime Warranty there will be a couple more variations in my cable collection!

great cord
Used this cord and it definitely dose what it says it dose. I have bought cheaper ones but please do not waste your money on them.
It works!
I ordered this 20-ft silent guitar cable because I was tired of having to turn down my amp before switching guitars, which I have to do often in my current band situation.

This cable accomplishes that goal, and the cable and ends seem to be rugged. I expect that with proper care, this cable should last a long, long, while. (please learn how to wrap your cables! There are tons of U-Tube videos showing how to do this and your cables with last a lot longer as a result!)

There are a couple of minor "cons", at least to me, which is why I only gave it a 4/5...

Most aggravating to me, is the outer jacket of the cable is a bit "sticky". It seemingly catches on everything because it has a "rubberized" external coating and it's kind of heavy. Now take that with a grain of salt, because I'm not sure if the cable is heavy or the connectors, which are on the large size and made of metal. The cable is quite flexible, but it seems to me, the weight and the stickiness of the cable causes it to catch on everything. Especially my leg as I move about.

So whether it's a pro, a con, or both, is subjective, but as stated above the connectors are big. They fit in all my guitars, so not so big that it's prevents them from working, but it adds to the "heft" perception I'm getting. That also means they're probably going to hold up to use and abuse a bit better than cables with less sturdy, thinner metals and/or plastic connectors.

I measured the weight at 14 oz. for this 20-ft cable. A similar "non-silent" cloth covered instrument cable I replaced with this one, weights in at 12 oz. Doesn't sound like much of a difference, yet I perceive it!

I do also like that this cable includes colored rubber-bands and a slot for installing them for cable ID, which is a great idea and may help if there is any confusion or issues tracing cables.

Overall, I'm very pleased to not have to worry, and I can just yank the cable from my guitars without a sound. I also think the price of this cable for it's quality is a good buy. YMMV!
