The DiGiCo Quantum 225 is a small-format digital console; however, when it comes to I/O, you wouldn't know it. Its local connections include eight analog inputs, eight analog outputs, and four channels of AES digital I/O. This digital mixer includes two redundant MADI ports, which deliver four channels of MADI I/O at 48kHz or two channels of MADI I/O at 96kHz. You can add a single loop of Optocore with 504 channels and 14 DiGiCo racks, or dual loops for 1,008 channels and 28 racks. You also get 48 channels of UBMADI, permitting you to connect your laptop via USB for multichannel recording and playback. What’s more, the Quantum 225’s two dedicated DMI slots make expansion a cakewalk via DiGiCo’s robust selection of interface option cards.
Jam-packed with high-level features
The Quantum 225 is teeming with high-end features. That said, it’s a breeze to navigate, courtesy of a 17-inch multi-touch screen with a meter bridge and soft quick-select buttons.
