Amazed!!!

When my sales rep told me about this, I said, "You gotta be kidding me?" He wasn't! I went ahead and bought it. In nearly 8 years, he has never steered me wrong. I did not return it! 1973 I was a teenager play in a band with a 100 watt Sunn Solaris. Since then I've owned a Vox AC30TB, several Americans tube amps and several Marshalls. I just sold my Laney that I have had since new in 1995. I bought a Mesa 5:50Plus head with a Mesa 2x12 from SW several years ago. See my review that tone monster! The point is, I love tube amps and never believed this little thing could be so cool! But I trust Chris. Sweetwater's description is spot on. It's A great sounding solid state amp! I used the greenback that was in Laney combo and the Purple Wind sounded great. I keep a Strat by the couch in our living room and use this as a practice amp. With headphones and a 'verb in the loop. My Analogman BC183 fuzz is so "Hendrix-y." I could 'till the carbon battery dies! Call your engineer and order you one! If you have NEVER purchased from Sweetwater, I beg you to call 1-800-222-4700 ext 1328 and speak with Chris McCown. In nearly 7 years, I have spent a scary amount of money here, and he has been spot on every time! You do know that the sales engineer is assigned to you and you speak with the same person every time you call, yes? If you don't have an assigned engineer, make mine yours. You will thank me!

Simply Amazing

This little (and I mean LITTLE, as in, Smaller than my cellphone) amp absolutely delivers! It sounds pretty great, an I'm running it through an Orange 1x8. I've never owned a Marshall Plexi, but I've hear people play them, and this sounds pretty close from what my ears tell me it's pretty great. This little $100 piece of awesome, That I had Never heard about showed up at a guitar center for $200, they wouldn't let anyone play it because it's boxed with a speaker there, Found it on sweetwater, ordered it, and a cab, and I think I got far more than my money's worth with this one, I think it will replace my Yamaha THR series (Seeing as I really only used "clean" and "Brit Hi" anyways, it's just so warm sounding, like a real tube amp, theoretically I could Bring it to a Gig and Use an SM-58 on the cab..anyone looking to try these things definitely NEEDS to.
