Get in touch with your sound
If you’ve explored Make Noise’s Pressure Points or 0-CTRL instruments, then the Press Point interface can be understood as a supercharged single-channel iteration of the same touch-based technologies. With just a touch of the finger, the copper wire-printed space’s pressure-sensitive processing completes a circuit to generate a versatile array of two gate and two CV outputs. Momentary Gate outputs rely on unbroken contact with the touch surface to produce a consistently high value. In contrast, the Toggled Gate output alternates between high and low values with successive presses. With CV functions, the Pressure Output produces a positive signal that scales its proportions with the amount of pressure applied, and the module’s Sensitivity Panel Control can modify this. Using the Smooth Touch Function lets you wield the equivalent of patch that sends the Pressure Output signal through a slew limiter, acting as a function generator. With the dedicated Slew parameter, you can attenuate function behavior and decay time to maintain tactile control over your sound.
