Add clean sheen to your overdrive
You can blend the Pork Loin's soft-clipping overdrive and classic British clean preamp together for an array of tones — from warm yet clean to extra-crunchy and thick. At the heart of the Pork Loin's overdrive path is a soft clipped BiFET overdrive gain stage with a passive Tone control, rounded out by a Curve function that gives you the freedom to fine-tune corner frequencies. The Volume control provides enough output to hit your amp's front end hard if you like, while the Pork Loin's Clean control blends in those great clean tones.

Fine-tune your tone with mini controls
If you desire even more control over your pedal, open up the Pork Loin and acces its three mini controls: Filter and Voice deliver extensive tonal shaping possibilities, while the overdrive Drive Mix control allows the Pork Loin to be run as a clean preamp. Presence adds high end to the overdrive. With a wide range of dynamic tones from supple and clear to warm and punchy, the Pork Loin's amazing features make it an instant pedalboard essential.

Way Huge comes back to the masses
Way Huge founder Jorge Tripps fired up his first Way Huge creation (the "Fuzz Box") back in 1992, and soon brewed up a stable of amazing-sounding stompboxes with equally interesting names. Though Way Huge closed up shop in 1999, demand for these pedals continued to soar; as you'd expect, online auctions brought astronomical prices for Way Huge products. Now, Way Huge teams up with Dunlop to make their premium-quality stompboxes available to you at much more down-to-earth prices. And they're better than ever!

Way Huge Pork Loin Overdrive Pedal Features:
  • Overdrive and Clean preamps
  • Volume, Overdrive, Curve, and Clean controls
  • Internal Filter, Voice, Drive Mix, and Presence controls
  • Dial in great overdrive tones or hit your amp with clean preamp sound
  • Rugged construction
  • Passive Tone control can be bypassed

Mmmmmmm Pork Loin

If you’re like me, you’ve had a love/hate relationship with overdrives. I hate 90% of them. Love 10%. I tend to like low-gain style OD’s and there’s just not that many of them on the market. But this pedal is pretty much perfect. You can really dial in your low-gain tones to perfection. You can make the breakup really dark and mix in your dry signal to get the brightness back, but without the harshness you get with most OD’s. This also works well to fatten up your delays, especially slap. Great for indie, country, blues, pop, etc.

The king pig!

I've had the Pork Loin on my board for a few months now. I play a Tele into a Dr Z Maz Jr. This pedal is my tone! I can not recommend it enough. It does so much. With the volume way up and the overdrive down, it hits so hard. So good! With the volume a little above unity and the overdrive up, it has a great classic rock crunch. The thing about this pedal is the way it combines the clean signal with overdrive. It is so transparent with so much of your amps spank to it. It is my Dr Z but just so much more of it. I've played my Pork Loin into a Mesa 50w Single Rectifier and it's the same thing. It hit so hard! It was just more of that classic Recto sound. I have the Green Rhino too, which is the best tubescreamer out there but this pedal is THE best boost, light overdive pedal in the Sweetwater catalog. There is not a bad sound in this thing. If you are looking for a clean boost, overdrive, or boost for another drive pedal or drive channel on an amp.......this is it.

Way Huge Pork Loin

I was looking for an overdrive which could be set for a very mild distortion for strumming full chords for rhythm. This does exactly what I want! The internal adjustment for the Clean control makes it very easy to fine-tune the sound for a balance of clean to overdrive levels. The pedal is very versatile. It can be adjusted for mild overdrive layered over a clean-channel sound, or it can be a very strong overdrive with a huge amount of boost. With the Tone and Drive controls can even be taken into distortion territory. So nice!

There is a learning curve to this pedal because there are so many parameters of what it can do for your sound. I was about to think it was not going to happen but kept adjusting inside and out till it fell into place. This is a blues players dream pedal. No fuzzy distortion overdrive. You can get a little of that but if you like just a clean guitar and an amp on steroids with some bite and sustain you can find it here. My settings are about like the one reviewers here. As for internal I have no idea where factory was. But my drive inside is almost full. I play a Standard Strat and use a couple Fender amps. Blues Jr, and Pro Jr. This pedal makes both of the amps sound WAY HUGE and still natural. It will give you a signature sound. I leave it one most of the time now. Don't be afraid to mess with all the internal settings.
