Bringing Boom-bap to Eurorack
Modbap Modular was determined to create a module that transplants the classic FX tools used by DJs for decades into the Eurorack environment, without sacrificing the innovative spirit of live performance. Sweetwater’s synthesists are happy to report that they have exceeded their goal with the 14HP Per4mer module. You’ll have direct CV/Gate-controlled access to multiple performance FX, including delay, reverb, glitch, and tape stop, in addition to two processing effects, injecting your sound with the kind of flavor normally reserved for DJs and beatmakers. Each effect can be triggered individually, simultaneously, latched, momentary, CV/Gate controlled, or manually modified, all on the fly, creating a palette of endless opportunity to flex in the studio, onstage, and all points in between.

DJ-inspired design
The Per4mer module reimagines the beatmaking ethos for a modular setting, including a streamlined UI with buttons and knobs designed in the spirit of classic production hardware. Most reminiscent of the shared roots of hip-hop and electronic music are the onboard compressor and sidechain inputs, creating instant ducking to transform the feel of your sound. Color processing is comprised of eight presets, adding compelling textures that transmute your tones for unmatched character. Each of the performance FX four parameters can be adjusted by hand or CV control, allowing for versatile use in any environment. Clock input, tap tempo, and CV targeting allow for even greater control of the Per4mer’s powerhouse of modulation you need to experience for yourself!
