I've had mine forever and have beat the tar out of it. Fits VERY well free stand in a snare basket, table, drum, 55 gallon barrel and mic it! Two sides: chops outs or quiet play. Loved the feel from day one and I've tried other brands. Truthfully, my favorite was the vintage Ludwig metal pad that screwed on to a cymbal stand thread which are gone now.

This double sided practice pad inspires you to work on your sticking technique and Rudiments. This has been my favorite pad so far. Thanks to Stutzman for checking in on me (every order) and making sure I liked what I purchased.

Excellent product. I prefer the softer side. Just the right feel. Not too mushy and not too hard. Just right!

Practicing on this pad has really improved my drumming, especially my left hand.

Such a great pad. I prefer the grey side because it is a little more audible than the black rubber. Both sides present realistic resilience, touch, and feel of a real drum but I prefer to hear the taps more than just bounce. I suppose the black rubber may be preferable in a setting where others may be annoyed with the tapping such as in an office waiting room or a library or something of the like. But otherwise this is a very excellent practice pad.
