Lightweight class D power

The Peavey PV 215D is amplified with 400 watts of class D power (up to 800W peak). Class D is the latest amplifier technology that gives you beefy power in a lightweight chassis. The 215D DDT also sports compression/anti-clipping protection, so you'll never have to worry about frying your speakers.

Bone-rattling bass

The Peavey PV 215D is fitted with a Peavey-exclusive 15" heavy-duty woofer sporting a massive 50 oz magnet, so you get bone-rattling bass that will have your more tech-savvy fans looking around for the subwoofers. Of course, if you want to beef your system with subterranean bass, Sweetwater has subs to match - just call your Sales Engineer.

Roadworthy build

The PV 215D is built Peavey-tough. Peavey's PA speakers are known for their roadworthiness, and the PV 215D is no exception. Fitted with steel handles and protective corners, the 215D's carpet-covered trapezoidal enclosure is a veritable glutton for punishment. There's even a powder-coated, full-coverage heavy-duty perforated steel grill to ward off inadvertent attacks from errant blunt instruments. Go ahead - give it your best shot. The Peavey PV 215D is in it for the long haul.

Great deal!

These are great powered speakers. I use these for larger dj events and they have great low end. I don't need subs with these. Loud enough to cut through 300+ party goers. Only downside is the size. They are very tall and pretty heavy. But great for big events.

What a great speaker, a lot of bang for the buck. Kinda heavy, but that means solid as a rock. I use these for various events and personal use. Turn these up and they do kick some butt. Confident to use these anywhere. Rock on....

Great Speaker For Price

I recently purchased these speakers and the sound quality is excellent. I have paired them with two Turbosound Milan M15B Powered Subwoofers and we use a Presonus 16.4.2 AI mixing board. We have used them indoors and at an outdoor amphitheater located next to the Red River. We are constantly get comments on how "clean" our sound is, and that the audience can hear "everything". I would have given these speakers a 5, except I am a little bit concerned about the quality of the cabinet material. They are a light weight, "particle" board type material, covered in black carpet, and they were slightly damaged in shipping. I am hoping that they hold up to the rigor of gigging. For the price I probably shouldn't complain. Thanks to Mike Conyers for the excellent advice and help on choosing the right gear. He hasn't steered me wrong yet, and never tries to sell me the "most expensive" item. The honesty of the Sweetwater crew keeps me coming back.
