SJC Providence drums: handbuilt and ready to order
Sweetwater is proud to partner with founders Scott and Mike to bring SJC's handcrafted custom shells to our customers. The SJC Providence series is handcrafted in the USA, in the same Massachusetts factory, by the same expert drum builders, using the same materials and techniques as SJC's bespoke drum kits. However, these all-maple beauties are ready to ship today and come double-backed by Sweetwater's 2-year warranty and our flexible return policy.

Select maple shells
Maple is king of the stage and studio. But as discriminating drummers know, not all maple plies are created equal. That's why your SJC Providence kit is built from only select North American maple — six plies for toms and eight plies for the kick. These woods, in concert with SJC's nearly two decades of custom drum fabrication expertise, deliver the powerful projection and crisp, even tone that today's drummers demand.
Hand-cut bearing edges
Every SJC bearing edge is hand cut and shaped to perfection. This level of precision allows heads and shells to resonate to their full potential. It also promotes long-lasting, even tuning.
Low-mass hoops and hardware
SJC Providence shells are outfitted with low-mass hardware to maximize their tonal potential. The 2.3mm triple-flanged steel tom hoops invite an open, classic sustain — as do SJC's low-profile brackets and mounts, which provide stable positioning without robbing shells of their natural tone.
Studio-quiet Shield Lugs
SJC's proprietary die-cast Shield Lugs don't just look great, they also promise solid tuning dependability. And since they don't use springs, they're also studio quiet.
Tuned up with Evans USA heads
