Crafted for tour-tier excellence
For more than half a century, Charvel has supplied rockers, shredders, and myriad music makers with the aural weaponry needed to blaze trails across genres and styles, and this Pro-Mod Plus So-Cal Style 1 is a culmination of these decades of design and experience. The sonic cornerstone of this 6-string is its alder body, which is used by guitar makers worldwide due to its resounding character, structural stability, balanced sound, and overall brightness. The caramelized maple neck brings a refined, focused heat to your playing, revered for its inherent note-separating attributes that ensure every string is voiced with distinction, across chords, riffs, solos, and licks. An ebony fretboard completes the guitar’s foundations, championed as a tonewood for its enduring sustain, crystalline depth, and bell-like clarity, collectively providing power and precision throughout the spectrum.
Powered by iconic Seymour Duncan design
The time-honored twinning of Charvel craftsmanship and Seymour Duncan circuitry has empowered countless guitarists throughout the decades. For this Pro-Mod Plus So-Cal Style 1, Charvel endowed the instrument with dual Duncan Distortion humbuckers. These high-output pickups are a mainstay of multiple hard-hitting play styles, thanks to their super-hot coil windings and immense ceramic magnets, giving guitarists the headroom and dynamic range desired in passive designs while holding up to the utmost levels of gain. Moreover, these Duncan Distortions were designed to work alongside each other, in their neck- and bridge-specific configurations, providing a balanced palette of clarity, sustain, and bell-like precision, brimming with harmonic depth, and uncompromising in power.
Primed for soaring solos and lightning leads
Whether you need a solid studio standby or a robust road warrior, the Charvel Pro-Mod Plus So-Cal Style 1 is armed for endurance. The satin-finished neck champions speed, control, precision, and comfort in equal measure, giving you plenty of in-hand heft and satisfying tactility. The weight-relieving and structure-reinforcing properties of the neck’s graphite reinforcements mitigate shoulder fatigue and prevent neck-diving tendencies. What’s more, the choice of caramelized maple both enriches the instrument’s harmonic character and provides increased dimensional stability compared to non-caramelized maple, expanding the neck’s resilience to twisting and warping. Thanks to the compound 12–16-inch radius of the fretboard, the 25.5-inch scale deftly supports multitudes of performance preferences, while the compensated hardtail bridge, crafted courtesy of Charvel, gives you solid intonation, buzz-free tones, and soaring sustain, with vault-grade tuning stability in tow.
