Now you can put that amazing performance into your rack, with the PCM92!

Lexicon PCM92 Reverb and Effects Processor at a Glance:
  • Lexicon's legend lives on
  • Room algorithm makes the right reverb for your room
  • The analog and digital connectivity you need

Lexicon's legend lives on
The powerhouse PCM92 processor delivers 28 new and legendary Lexicon reverbs, delays and modulation effects. Designed to bring the highest level of sonic quality and function to all of your audio applications, the PCM92 will take center stage in your FOH rack as well as in your recording suite.

With decades of legacy products to pull from, the PCM92 also includes the finest collection of factory presets available in a stereo processor (over 700 and growing), including some recognizable classics from their immense library of sounds.
The PCM92 gives new capabilities to Lexicon's traditional reverbs by adding multimode filters in the audio flow. This allows more exact shaping of the reverb while still maintaining the distinctive Lexicon sound. All reverbs also have an "Infinite" switch that allows the reverb to run forever, a useful feature for creating unusual backgrounds and sound effects.

Room algorithm makes the right reverb for your room
Lexicon's PCM92 includes the fantastic Room algorithm, which provides a more flexible alternative to convolution type reverbs. Reflection patterns can be easily selected, scaled and equalized — all while simultaneously passing audio. They can be instantly reversed or combined with a traditional reverb to extend the decay or bring a stronger sense of "liveness" to the space. Put the PCM92 in your studio or live rack and see what it can do for you!

The analog and digital connectivity you need
With two channels of analog I/O and two channels XLR AES/EBU digital I/O (as well as MIDI and Ethernet connectivity), the PCM92 easily fits into a variety of recording and live sound environments. In any application, the PCM92 delivers the versatility and sound that is unmistakably Lexicon.

Lexicon built the PCM92 to give you amazing flexibility. In fact, the PCM92 can process up to two physical inputs and two physical outputs in an array of configurations, including dual mono, stereo, mono in/stereo out, and mono in/combined stereo out. You'll love the I/O options this unit offers!

Lexicon PCM92 Reverb and Effects Processor Features:
  • 28 new and legendary Lexicon reverbs, delays and effects
  • Two channels XLR-1/4" (combi-jack) analog balanced inputs
  • Two channels XLR and 1/4" analog balanced outputs

A Must For Recording

I had a PCM92 but sold it thinking my other gear could fill in...wrong! Now I need to buy it back but there is a shortage. I'll wait because there might be many different reverbs out there, but there is only one Lexicon...

Finally a Really wonderful Reverb Processor

Yeah I've used PCM 91's, PCM 90's, Eventide Eclipse's (great for electric guitar as opposed to like using in Pro Tools), eventide 2016 reverb stereo processor (my go-to reverb processor of which I am EXTREMELY not happy with), etc. I just never was satisfied with the sound I got out of virtually every processor. Well, here it is Feb 6th. 10:43 p.m. 2018 - > and I feel great. Finally a sound I can LIVE WITH!! Let me tell you a learning curve is for sure on the horizon with this baby but just because the menu choices and operational functions are funky and dare I say .....poorly designed for streamlining you know it gets easier by the SECOND. Whether you're doing this for tracking or mixing whatever. To add more fun to it, I am adding a very specific type of reverb to the rhythm guitar - sounds oustanding! I'm sort of mixing in PT HD where you don't have to screw around with the processor to get that right sound. Hey its been about 5 min. since I have first used this.....I'm already getting the hang of it but I suggest reading the manual. Online or wherever. It would pay off. I'm just impatient and don't like studying. Never did. I just want to press one button and Just WORK !!! (yes i know pipe dream) But every music gear junkie should go with their gut and my gut tells me this Sounds great. I would suggest the PCM 96 but honestly I don't know what the big difference is but monitarily, there is a huge huge difference. I believe the 96 involves surround sound - do yourself a favor STAY AWAY from surround sound. It brought me nothing but frustration. Just my two cents. Another benefit with the PCM 92 - the name = Lexicon has always impressed me. Now you could easily patch a reverb plugin in a track and save loads of time but being analog all the way, this is my cup of tea. However or whatever works for you DO IT. GO WITH YOUR GUT. All I can say is after using the PCM 92 for less than 10 minutes, I am thrilled. I cannot promise you that your music is gonna rock or the music you record will be outstanding but I would implore people to EXPLORE ALL OPTIONS DO NOT EVER RESIGN YOURSELF TO "well i already have this processor i guess i should get my money's worth" Bad attitude. If you don't like the sound you get.....DO IT TILL ITS RIGHT. CHANGE IT TILL IT WORKS. Thats the biggest lesson here.

A True Multi Effects Unit

The PCM92 is a true Multi Effects unit. The Lexicon reverbs are astounding. The other effects are not just fill-ins; they are stellar. Every effect in this unit is well implemented. The construction of the unit is top flight- all metal enclosure and faceplate - made in USA. Everything on this unit feels solid. The OS provides for deep editing to achieve about any effect you want.
Sweetwater allows you to return any item within 30 days that you do not like. I will not be returning this unit. Like other people have stated about their Lexicon units- "they will have to pry the PCM92 from my cold dead fingers".

Stunning, powerful, and complex

Packed into this solid, AMERICAN MADE unit, are 4 decades of industry leading reverbs, including the "classic" Lexicon sound and new variations that are true to their roots but offer new possibilities. The reverb is stunning. One note about Lexicon reverb for those who haven't experienced it - the magic of Lexicon does not happen when you "solo" a track with the reverb, the magic happens when you hear the reverb in the context of the complete mix. Lexicon reverbs have a way of blending into the mix in a magical way that allows you to hear all of the rich lushness of the reverb, without having your music washed out or diluted.

The effects are also quite good - delays, chorus, flange, resonant effects, fattening effects, and so on. The creative options are insane.

Many reverb units give you a half dozen parameters that you can tweak, but the parameters on the lexicon seem limitless. While the most common ones are conveniently visible and tweak-able at a glance, with a little time spent exploring you can create amazing sonic textures with a level of control that is mind-boggling. Honestly, the power and complexity of this unit will likely overwhelm the average home studio guy. Never fear, there are over 700 presets... but, the menus and function of this are also complex because this unit is so flexible, it can be configured so many different ways. You can't just scroll through a list of 700 presets - you select a type of configuration or a type of effect and then you can go through the presets applicable to that particular configuration or effect. The unit can act as 4 virtual machines, processing L/R signals separately, together, or separately and then together. Many a novice, and even many an experienced person, will have to slow down and actually read the manual to get the most out of this unit.

I'd rate this a 5, but the complexity of the unit does offer something of a learning curve. Sonically, the rating is off the charts. For customizing/tweaking of sounds, the rating is also off the charts.

This is a serious tool that will elevate your sound. In the hands of a novice, the included presets will provide great satisfaction once they are comfortable navigating the configuration possibilities. In the hands of a person who can patiently explore all that this has to offer, I think they will find it to possibly be one of the most advanced, most powerful reverbs ever made available in a rack unit.

Made in America, stunning sound, limitless tweak-ability - whats not to love?
