Go on, Try to Break Them

Ernie Ball Paradigm electric guitar strings are amazingly resistant to rust and breakage — and whether you earn a living with your guitar or not, that's a big deal. These plasma-treated strings deliver classic Slinky tone along with advanced engineering that can withstand aggressive players. And even if you travel with your guitar often, or live in a salty-aired coastal region, Paradigm strings will stay rust-free for a very long time. Kenny Wayne Shepherd couldn't break 'em. John Petrucci couldn't break 'em. Guitarists at Sweetwater haven't been able to break Ernie Ball Paradigm guitar strings either, and we expect you'll eventually get bored trying.

Perfect for trem-arm users and abusers

Whether you rock a Bigsby, Floyd Rose, or any other trem system, you needn't fear pulling up when you've got Ernie Ball Paradigm strings. They're built to withstand every dive-bomb return and pinch-harmonic squeal you put them through. This is a Hybrid Slinky set with .009–.046-gauge strings. Put them on your favorite guitar, then enjoy the fact that you won't need to replace them for a very long time.

Pro Tip: use an eco-friendly string cleaner to keep grime off these long-lasting strings!

Reviews

Love these strings
Guitar player for 20 years.

These strings stay in tune and sound new for a satisfyingly long time

No more pesky G string constantly falling out of tune.
Not as horrible as some say
I have used these before in various guitars, that I ended up selling for bill money but I got a set on my prs singlecut they aren’t the cobalts I love but they’re not bad. I usually play for anywhere between 25 minuets to an hour a day just practicing it’s all I usually get as far as time and sometimes I bend like I think I’m slash! I know another thing that helps tuning is a good set up for bending so with that taken into account they hold up! I haven’t knocked them out of tune at all, which is surprising but I’m not currently in any bands, again taking into account I’m not sweating as much I don’t wipe them down or clean my board for a while no corrosion no rust no bs. They don’t sound bad at all, what your paying for is a non breaking string which can be subjective depending on how you play of corse, but they aren’t meh or just ..... no! Try them out! Do for yourself!
Music background: Professional...... somewhat!
Not sure yet
I usually use Ernie Ball strings, so I figured on good sound and feel. The main selling point of Paradigms is long life and neat indistructability. Too soon to say, but so far so good!
Unbreakable? Would be big, if true!
I was pretty impressed by the paradigm strings when I was first looking for a longer lasting replacement to nyxl's. It sounded like a pack of fresh slinky's long after they had been first put on the guitar. No more, no less. But for some that might be enough. However, I found the assertion that they are unbreakable to be sadly untrue. After one broke on me at a gig, I went back to D'addario NYXL's. Normally I would be more forgiving, but they broke on the way to the gig! I had rig all plugged in ready to go, and the string was broken right there in the case. I haven't revisited these strings since.
Extra durable? Meh...
I like the idea of a string that will take some abuse, and I'm willing to pay extra, so I decided to give the Paradigms a try. Literally 2 weeks past the 90-day warranty the high E string snapped while tuning up to standard from a lower tune. This is on a guitar that does not get played a lot, and the strings are always wiped down after playing. Meh. Maybe I got a bad set, but I'm surely not impressed by a string that is supposed to be more durable and didn't last half as long as my last set of Cobalts, which were half the price...
