Go on, Try to Break Them

Ernie Ball Paradigm electric guitar strings are amazingly resistant to rust and breakage — and whether you earn a living with your guitar or not, that's a big deal. These plasma-treated strings deliver classic Slinky tone along with advanced engineering that can withstand aggressive players. And even if you travel with your guitar often, or live in a salty-aired coastal region, Paradigm strings will stay rust-free for a very long time. Kenny Wayne Shepherd couldn't break 'em. John Petrucci couldn't break 'em. Guitarists at Sweetwater haven't been able to break Ernie Ball Paradigm guitar strings either, and we expect you'll eventually get bored trying.

Perfect for trem-arm users and abusers

Whether you rock a Bigsby, Floyd Rose, or any other trem system, you needn't fear pulling up when you've got Ernie Ball Paradigm strings. They're built to withstand every dive-bomb return and pinch-harmonic squeal you put them through. This is a Power Slinky set with .011–.048-gauge strings. Put them on your favorite guitar, then enjoy the fact that you won't need to replace them for a very long time.

Pro Tip: use an eco-friendly string cleaner to keep grime off these long-lasting strings!

Reviews

Haven't broken them yet!
I've been using The 11-48 Paradigm strings for about 2 years now using lots of full step bends with crazy vibrato and I've yet to break them. They sound great and last a long time, in fact one of my 3rd string guitars (no pun intended) has had a set on for about a year! I use Dunlop String cleaner on them and it helps prolong the feel and get rid of the grime. Really the only reason to ever change these sooner than 2 months would be for the eventual dirt and grime and for that new string tone/feel, despite that these last a very long time before they go flat sounding and I've never had one tremolo on me. Most run of the mill strings including the original Power Slinkys would get that tremolo sound after only a week or two and start unraveling around the ball end, NOT THESE.

The guy in the review below this must have had a sabotaged guitar, I don't know how someone could break a wound string that wasn't defective let alone 4 at the same time and then a second set....for the record who keeps playing a guitar after losing 4 of the toughest strings on the planet? seriously thats a fake review.

Amazing tone
I'm a elixir nanoweb guy but decided to try something different. While they do not have the slick grease feel I love about elixir nanowebs, the tone is amazing. I put them on my prs and will be trying them on my other guitars. The string break thing I can't attest to because I almost never break strings (I play mostly lead metal and punk.$
No Breaks and Long Lasting
I use a pretty thick pick (1.14) and I play pretty aggressively, so I tend to break strings every once in a while. With the old eb strings, they corrode after about 2 or 3 weeks of playing every day for several hours a day. Other than the fact that after strings corrode they lose tone and are uncomfortable to play, they also break easier as the grime builds up. With the paradigms, I get at least twice the life out of my strings and I have never once broken a string while using them. On top of that I think they just sound better than the original eb strings. Definitely worth the extra money!
Much gooder...
Like most guitarists I'm terribly picky about my strings. That being said, at the time I bought these I needed some extra sets while waiting on my preferred brand/guage to arrive via mail and these were readily available at my local guitar shop. I've also been swapping pickups left and right after throwing a new neck on my guitar and needed something that wouldn't break after rewinding once. Overall, I'm super impressed with the Paradigms. They sound much better than standard EB's do (in my setup to my ears) and are impressively durable. They don't stand up, tone/feel-wise, to my preferred brand (and they're a few bucks more expensive) but they are great strings and I wouldn't hesitate to buy them again in a time of need.

DON'T EVEN BOTHER, they should be called break easier!
Bought these thinking they would end my troubles of bridge snaps that usually happen after about a month or two of regular playing (weekly band practice and very little at home)

Got a new guitar from Sweetwater (which I love)
And had them put these strings on before shipping and after playing strings for 2 practices the E A D G all snapped one after another after another just before a show. I thought maybe because they were shipped with guitar something happened so I put on a new set I had already purchased and after just ONE 2 hour practice I pick up my guitar and SNAP goes the A string! This is so incredibly frustrating and the return/warranty process to get honored is a waste of time. You should be able to walk into any certified dealer and exchange just the broke string. I had better luck with bottom barrel cheap strings. These string break even faster then the cheapest rustiest strings I've ever played.

The search continues for a decent string.
