The O2 follows in the footsteps of M-Audio's Oxygen8 - one of the very first mobile MIDI controllers. The ultra-thin O2 is perfect for laptop-based recording systems or control of MIDI synth modules. It's easy to assign controllers to match your soft synth or DAW software. Plus, the O2 has 5 internal setup locations so you can switch from application to application. It also integrates with Enigma editor/librarian software (a FREE download for registered owners) for unlimited setup creation and storage.
25 full-size touch-sensitive keys plus 18 assignable MIDI controllers
The secret to the O2's thin profile is its 25 full-width, half-action keys that only need half the vertical space of most keyboards. With octave shift buttons and pitch bend and modulation controls, you can perform on the O2 just as you would on a full-sized keyboard controller. Plus, the O2 has 8 fully assignable MIDI knobs, 8 assignable buttons and a volume slider that can be assigned to perform other MIDI functions. Using an Advanced Function button, you can also activate 12 additional functions from the keyboard. And a rear-panel sustain pedal jack gives you even more performance control.
Built-in MIDI interface plus USB MIDI I/O for computer connection
You can use the O2 to connect to a MIDI module and your computer at the same time. A built-in MIDI Out port can transmit performance data to your external sound module, while the USB MIDI I/O provides an interface with computer sequencing and recording software. The O2 even includes Panic and Controller Mute buttons for instant cutoff of stuck notes or silencing your O2 during breaks. This tiny controller packs a big MIDI punch!
