Loop It Baby

Electro-Harmonix is so good and this pedal is further proof of their high flying excellence manifested as a musical instrument that transforms one's imagination.

EH does it again!

I wanted a looper to record rhythm tracks to solo over. This was the most affordable and easiest to use one with the ability to store multiple loops. Sounds great, works flawlessy, just like all EH products.Could use more recording time, but six minutes is just enough to get by with if you don't have multiple long progressions. And of course without Mike buying the Sovtek factory tube amps would have become nonexistant, since they produce probably 90% of all tubes made today. And are the major supplier for virtually all big amp companies such as Fender, Marshall, Vox, Mesa Boogie, etc. Long live EH and Mike!

Got my satisfaction update

I find you can set your intonation with this too. Just tune string open, record/loop it, then fret 12th fret note to see if it matches the open one, adjust, re-tune open string and repeat til intonation is perfect. No strobe needed, just tune by ear as you would normally. You'll see the value in doing this after going into the studio and spending a bunch of money to find out your overlaid parts up higher are unfixably out of tune with the lower ones and you'll wish you set the intonation, I just recently saw a guy doing this at Omega studios and the engineer and I were noticing the intonation problem immediately. I also hold chords above 12th fret to compare to the open strings and find that if you accomplish the more difficult task of getting those intonated, the 12th string and lower ones are still perfect, at least on a good guitar that is.

Sweetwater Advice

Electro-Harmonix Nano Looper 360

Compact loopers are a bona-fide trend. Their small footprints and dummy-proof simplicity make the looping process seem a lot less geeky. Electro-Harmonix's 360 Nano Looper excels on all these counts, but merits extra praise and consideration for its inclusion of an 11-position dial that enables super-easy loop storage and recall....
