Classic Design with Modern Capabilities

Whether you use it for rehearsal, live shows, or studio production, the TASCAM Model 24 is a great-sounding, easy-to-use multitrack recording solution. The Model 24 boasts a classic analog mixer-style design that's both intuitive and immediate. Achieve precise control with 100mm faders, while tweaking your tracks with familiar EQ and Aux controls. High-grade preamps ensure top-notch sound that's easily captured on an internal SD card at 24-bit/48kHz resolution. You also get a generous complement of I/O. Beyond that, DAW integration is a piece of cake, thanks to the Model 24's built-in 24-in/22-out audio interface. The Model 24 is lightweight yet rugged, and can be transported from studio to stage with confidence, thanks to TASCAM's legendary reliability.

Flexible routing and onboard effects

If you've ever used a small-format analog console or a classic Portastudio, you'll already be familiar with the Model 24. Take control of your mix with 100mm long-throw faders, then tweak your tracks to perfection with 3-band EQs. Shape your output with a 7-band graphic EQ. Achieve great sound right from the start, thanks to 16 high-grade preamps with +48V phantom power. You also get a full complement of I/O for integrating your instruments and outboard gear. At Sweetwater, we appreciate the Model 24's old-school approach — no menu diving necessary!

Easy standalone multitrack recording

Recording with the TASCAM Model 24 is a breeze. Capture up to 24 simultaneous tracks directly to SD card at 24-bit/48kHz resolution, with the ability to support punch in/out eight tracks at the same time. You also get flexible routing and onboard effects. The Model 24 offers easy standalone multitrack recording at its best.

The perfect analog front-end for your DAW

The Model 24 does way more than simply let you move recorded tracks to and from a DAW. Rather, it functions as a full-blown 24-in/22-out USB audio interface, complete with premium-quality preamps and onboard compression. And when it's time to mix, you can either work in-the-box, or route tracks back through the Model 24 for 22 channels of hands-on control and genuine analog vibe.

What is Certified Open Box Gear?

At Sweetwater, we're so picky that what we call "Certified Open Box" is actually better than what most music retailers sell as "new" gear! Our gear hasn't endured hundreds of people a week plunking away at all the keyboards, fumbling through Stairway to Heaven on every guitar or playing with every fader and knob on a mixer or control surface.

Certified Open Box (also known as a demo) means we’ve had it out of the box for our YouTube channel, displayed at events, tested in our studio, or maybe it was in a customer’s hands for a few days and isn’t ‘factory fresh’ as a result. Every Certified Open Box item we sell has Sweetwater’s 2-year Total Confidence Coverage™ warranty and has been tested and verified up to ‘new’ specs by our factory-authorized technicians to make sure it’s in perfect working order before we ship it to you.

When you buy a Certified Open Box item at Sweetwater, you get:
  • 2-year Total Confidence Coverage Warranty™!
  • Products inspected and tested by our factory-authorized techs, guaranteed to function like new (or better)!
  • FREE shipping on most items

Reviews

Warm sound
I have been using this mixer/usb interface/recorder for about 6 months and have nothing but positive things to say about
It. Well, I do hear clicks and pops when trying to solo tracks during mixdowns, but I suspect that's a "me" issue somehow. It looks great, sounds good, works awesome for mics and inserts. I can send tracks to individual channels from my MPC via usb no problem. Recording a song, vocals and all, is a bit of a struggle compared to DAW workflows, but that's ok.

I LOVE this console
I am a professional mixing and mastering engineer who also does live sound. When I saw the capabilities of this mixer it was a no-brainer. It has not disappointed me! Even my live sound clients have noticed the difference in the sound quality. It's a great mixer with a fantastic sound! Nice warm pre-amps with lots of gain. Compression and EQ sound great too and the built-in fx are a nice touch! I personally like the studio reverb. Highly recommend!

Modern Vintage
This is a great mixing/interface console really great gives you a warm vintage coloring to the recording while still keeping them clean

Solid Build
Needed to replace my aging AW4416 and get a few more tracks. This unit is built pretty well and you getting a lot for your money. Pretty easy to use and I was up and recording in a few hours after setting it up and plugging it in. If your looking for the analog feel this is an inexpensive way to go.
Great Mixer/Recorder
Per the picture, I run the TASCAM M24 into my TASCAM 32SD, and use it as a mixer, tho the M24 works great as a recorder on its own. The M24 has good on-board effects, good compression and panning capabilities. The M24 is very easy to use. The "album" Neutral Earth- Current, Volts and Ohms, (available on YouTube) was recorded using this set-up. Two songs (Blue Leech & Neolithic Traveler) we're recorded using the M24 alone. Give a listen if you want to hear what is possible. I also own a TASCAM DP-02 and NEO 2488. I'm happy with all my TASCAM purchases.
