A One-two Punch of Polyphonic Analog Tone

In 1982, a prominent synth manufacturer released one of the best-sounding polyphonic analog synthesizers of that entire synth-saturated decade. The Cherry Audio Memorymode models this legendary instrument in exacting detail, while also including features aimed at modern music makers. For the Memorymode, Cherry Audio meticulously modeled an original hardware unit — jazz legend Chick Corea's as a matter of fact — right down to its unique 3-oscillator voice architecture, coveted ladder-filter circuit, and gently overdriven character. Benefit from up to 16 voices of polyphony, along with over 600 pro-crafted presets. You also get an arpeggiator and studio-quality phaser, ensemble, delay, and reverb effects. The Memorymode includes 1-click UI magnification, MPE support, full MIDI control, and DAW automation for all controls. If you're dreaming of fat analog synth basses and searing Jan Hammer-style leads, the Cherry Audio Memorymode delivers a one-two punch of massive proportions.

Jam-packed with robust features

The Memorymode supplies up to 16 voices of polyphony with a single-key chord memory mode, meticulously modeled 3-oscillator voice architecture, and a re-created ladder filter circuit with selectable 12 and 24dB/octave slopes. You also get an expanded voice modulation section with up to six simultaneous destinations, plus a unison detune with up to 48 oscillators per key, netting you massive-sounding leads and earthshaking bass sounds. Beyond that, a drift control gives you true-to-life analog performance, and a modern button produces beefy lows and crystal-clear highs. The Memorymode also includes MPE support, full MIDI controls, and DAW automation for all controls.

Killer built-in effects

The Cherry Audio Memorymode includes a bevy of studio-quality effects. Phaser and ensemble effects give you all the fat, swirling modulation you can handle. You also get lush reverb and delay. Best of all, the delays can be synchronized with your DAW, as can the Memorymode's LFO section and arpeggiator. Thanks to its outstanding effects — and more — the Memorymode is shaping up to be one of our favorite soft synths here at Sweetwater.

Reviews

Hello Fatness my old friend
I had a Memorymoog back in the 80's and have missed it dearly. It loved going to the shop and was as big and heavy as a boat, but it had that sound. I have Arturia collection 8 and Native Instruments Komplete Ultimate, so my virtual instrument collection is substantial . Cherry Audio doesn't take a back seat to either- all are awesome. It's extremely well laid out and sounds dead on. I'm a fan!
