Two Compressors in One

Low-level compression is, essentially, the opposite of standard high-level compression (in which any signal above the set threshold is attenuated). With the MV2 low-level compression function, any signal below your set threshold is compressed upward, resulting in increased gain. Your dynamic range is compressed by boosting low levels, while leaving high levels alone.
High-level compressionWaves equipped the MV2's high-level compression function with automatic makeup gain and output level control - a classic setup. You control the compressor with the Threshold fader, which sets your desired amount of dynamic range compression. The automatic gain makeup function compensates for gain reduction, so your output is always consistent.
