8 Flexible Channels of Connectivity

The Behringer Ultralink MS8000 8-channel microphone splitter sends your mic signal to multiple locations, such as mixing consoles, stage monitors, and broadcast trucks. This, for example, would allow you to connect to front of house and your in-ear monitors simultaneously. Eight inputs and 16 outputs provide you with plenty of flexibility, while a Lift/Ground switch and linkable channels make the Ultralink MS8000 an indispensable tool for stage and studio. How many uses could you come up with for the Behringer Ultralink MS8000 8-channel microphone splitter?

Behringer Ultralink MS8000 at a Glance:
  • Direct and Link outputs offer amazing flexibility
  • Input Link function doubles your outputs
Direct and Link outputs offer amazing flexibility

The Behringer Ultralink MS8000's eight front-panel XLR inputs make it easy to connect your microphones and DI boxes, even in a crowded rack. A Lift/Ground switch improves your sound by eliminating hum and other ground loop noises. An XLR Direct Out sends your signal post-transformer, while an XLR Link Out sends it pre-transformer. This allows you to send the Direct Out signal to front of house or a mixing console, while simultaneously sending the Link Out signal to your monitor board or headphone mixer.

Input Link function doubles your outputs

By employing the Behringer Ultralink MS8000's Input Link function, you can link two adjacent channels. This allows you to connect a source to one channel and send it from the outputs of two channels. Imagine plugging your mic into Channel 1. You could then send your signal to front of house and a monitor mixer from Channel 1's outputs, while sending it to a recording interface and broadcast mixer from Channel 2's outputs. The Ultralink MS8000 also allows you to link two adjacent channels and merge their source into a single output, which is great for managing multiple playback devices or converting stereo signals to mono.

Behringer Ultralink MS8000 Features:
  • 8-in/16-out microphone splitter
  • Direct and Link outputs let you send pre- and post-transformer signals
  • Lift/Ground switch eliminates hum and other ground loop noises
  • Input Link function doubles your outputs
  • Passes phantom power from your console or mic pre to Direct Outputs
The Behringer Ultralink MS8000 8-channel mic splitter is a useful tool for stage and studio!

Love it!

Tried it out on my first gig this weekend in Deland, FL. It worked flawlessly! We had the most simple setup the sound engineer had all day. Plug in the front and take signal from the back on the balanced line outs. We were able to get our in ear monitor mix from the link outs and everything ran smooth.

A great product for live recording

You can easily pay this much for a 2 channel splitter so when Behringer came out with this 8 ch splitter for a hundred bucks I was very excited. I haven't used this on a live recording session yet but my initial tests show it will be a solid performer. Build quality is excellent (Behringer has really upped their game in the last few years) and the link feature is very nice. I look forward to putting it through it's paces at my next live recording session. The only downside (not a fault with this product but splitters in general) is the extra cabling required but I find that using pre-built snake cables greatly simplifies the setup and connectivity. Special thanks to my sales rep, Derek Kemp for getting me this backordered item quicker than originally quoted.
