Ultimate Support MS-100

I had my monitors on my desktop. They took up too much room and sound kinda boxy in their mid-range. These stands have made a big difference in the sound of my monitors. And they gave me back the much needed room on my desk. I filled the MS-100's with sand and they are rock solid. A well crafted set of stands that look very handsome in the deep red color.
Sweetwater just has the right gear at the right price. And top it off with professional customer service, well it's a no brainer to me.

Great investment!

I was originally going to get some of the cheaper ~$100/pair stands, but after reading some reviews I decided to make a better investment in stands for my monitors. I'm glad I did. The bases are nice and wide, with no wobbling even on my tile floor. The assembly was easy and straight forward, and having a suitable hex bit for my cordless driver made things even easier versus the hex key that came with the hardware. I opted to sand fill the tubes, as that is what I had available, though shot would be more appropriate if you have access to it. The isolation pads seal the filler channel nicely so that you don't have to worry about the sand leaking out. I will say that it's probably a good idea to pre-route your cables through the pads during the assembly, as my IEC cables were difficult to fit through the pads once put together due to their size. Once all the cables are routed though, the installation is really clean. The finish on everything is nice, and the red accents are a classy touch.

My only gripe is that the entire assembly is a touch on the light side, but the ability to add weight makes up for this. I'd have preferred a tad more unladen weight, as my setup is a home studio that sometimes is occupied by an 8 year old and three energetic pitbulls, but this isn't a concern for every user.

Ultimate in Monitor Stands

I really was more pleased with these Ultimate Monitor Stands than I expected to be. Now the speakers are completely isolated away from my production station, pointed directly at my ears. I haven't yet tried to fill them with shot or sand.
