Great Improvements for Ideal Field Playability
The Yamaha MS-9414 SFZ marching snare has been redesigned to promote presence and maneuverability for percussionists during field performances and group competitions. This maple-shelled snare features Yamaha’s Air Seal system, combining warm tone and depth for superior projection out on the field. Yamaha has also made strides to reduce the weight of the SFZ line without compromising the drum’s durability by reducing the suspension ring height and removing select material in the top and bottom high-tension hoops. Additional snare holes for improved articulation, a straighter fine-tuning tension knob, and a larger radius at the top of the rim for improved rimshots are some of the other new features that the MS-9414 offers. Sweetwater percussionists love the lightweight, durable, and modern-looking tube lug and gravity guard combination, keeping the snare’s tension rods from slipping. Finally, an aluminum insert ring helps to maintain a stable pitch during high-tension tuning of the included Remo White Max drumhead.
