The Swiss Army Knife of MIDI Processing!

The MIDI Solutions Event Processor is an all purpose super-tool that any live MIDI tech or synth nut can easily fall in love with. What can you do with a MIDI Solutions Event Processor? Just about anything, really. The way the Event Processor works is that you get to define up to 10 settings, each with its own conditions. For example, maybe you want all notes between C1 and C4 on channel 3 to remap to between C2 and C5 on channel 10. No problem. And the Event Processor still has nine more settings left for additional filtering. That's just the beginning of what you can do with a MIDI Solutions Event Processor.

A freakishly powerful MIDI processing tool

Reassigning MIDI note values and channel information is just the tip of the iceberg, as far as the MIDI Solutions Event Processor's potential goes. For instance, say you want to reassign your controller's mod wheel to act as a volume control for one of your synths. Piece of cake. You can even cause MIDI notes to trigger program changes, or single tactile controllers to affect multiple CCs. And now consider that you can stack 10 of these settings together. If you can think of it, chances are, you can pull it off with a MIDI Solutions Event Processor.

Reviews

Solved my issue
The MIDI Solutions Event Processor Solved an issue I was having with a MIDI footswitch and a lighting controller.
I had purchased a MID Mongoose by Tech 21 to change scenes on my lighting controller, the ADJ DMX Operator 384. The problem was that the MIDI Mongoose only sends "program change" messages, and the DMX Operator 384 only accepts "Note" messages. Each product works great, it was my fault for not knowing enough about specific MIDI messages before making my purchase.
The MIDI Solutions Event Processor bridges this gap by converting the program change messages to note messages in real time. It's inserted inline between the footswitch and the controller with a MIDI in and MIDI out at each end.
Without the Event Processor, my MIDI Mongoose would have been completely useless for my application, but I really liked the pedal's sleek size compared to the Behringer FCB1010 so I shelled out the extra cash to make it work.
There is a serious lack of footswitchable lighting options for bands, and I would guess something better than the entry-level options would be in high demand. (I'm talkin' to you Chauvet and American DJ!)
The MIDI Solutions Event Processor worked when I needed it to, and was fairly easy to program but has a learning curve if you don't know much about MIDI like me. It's seems pricey to me, and I would like to see this in a metal box instead of plastic, which is why It didn't get 5 stars. But, like I said, it works well and when you need it you need it.
And as always, Sweetwater rocks!
