this is that piece you're looking for.
Using the cool old style mics is awesome till it's time to pack up. This little guy makes it easy to get the mic off from the stand.
Atlas LO-2B quick release
This is one product that cuts down so much time when changing microphones in the studio or even in live sound reinforcement venues. Being a senior means dealing with arthritis and just thinking about twisting or untwisting a microphone clip/holder several times during a session can become very painful. The LO-2B quick release is a helpful remedy. I now have thm installed on all my studio stands. Thank you Atlas

Game changer for the Shure Super 55 Mic
Can't believe I didn't get this sooner. Makes setup and teardown faster and safer.
twisting of the 55 from a microphone stand, I cant tell you how many times I've dropped or almost dropped my mic. this makes it easy. Still fits in the Shure bag that came with my super 55 to. I cannot recommend this enough.

This is the coolest little thing
This Quick Release is tight and I mean machined to precision.. it does not rattle at all like I expected at least a little but no, it does not move until you move it.. it does it's job like a master.. the chrome is chromie and the button makes so much sense once you see how it works.. I'll be ordering another one because I am making a spear and I need the spearhead to come off for other uses and this will work perfectly for that.. this could be listed as a Zombie Tool very correctly with the proper application.. it is a solid little quick release with multiple possibilities.. top quality materials too.. very very nice in my opinion.. in the last several months, I've spent a ton of money here at Sweetwater on line and I have to say the service is impeccable and everyone I've talked with so far there has been top notch people's.. much love

Hard to find piece that is a must have!!
I bought my wife a Shure Super 55 mic and an Ultimate Support Love and Hate Mic stand for her birthday. They look awesome together, but the neck of the mic stand protrudes out so much that you can't connect the XLR cable to the microphone. This piece gives just enough height to be able to fit the XLR cable. Also not having to constantly thread and unthread the microphone is a big bonus!
