No matter how simple the Lifeforms SV-1's oscillator sections may look, once you start patching them together, you'll be amazed by the sonic range they deliver. Start building your sound from sine, triangle, sawtooth, square, and even Pittsburgh Modular's own blade waveforms. Noise and sample-and-hold circuits are just a patch point away, and a clock-syncable digital LFO adds even more possibilities to your sound creation.

You can't have subtractive synthesis without a worthy filter section, and the Lifeforms SV-1 delivers. This big, fat, and vibrant filter includes discrete outputs for highpass, lowpass, and bandpass processing. There's plenty of resonance on tap, with ample headroom for harmonic content across the spectrum. In addition to controlling the base cutoff frequency, this filter section includes a CV adjustment control, which can both attenuate and even invert the modulation signal coming from the LFO, the ADSR envelope, or an external source.
