L 80

Just got my L 80's . Wow, sound great. With my Silentstroke heads this really completes my PDP kit. Now, I can play without the loudness of the kit.

Perfect.

I'm not a drummer. I'm a guitarist who thinks drums are insanely fun. But living in a rowhome means there's a limit to how much noise I can make, and these (along with some silentstroke heads) solved the problem for me.From the floor above you can barely hear a thing from these, and two stories above you hear nothing; I could have a conversation with someone else in the room and not need to yell over these cymbals.I think they sound pretty good even though they're not built to be the best tone, though the Gen16's (unplugged) do sound nicer. That's probably because the L80's have a matted finish to them. You will constantly hear the clicking of your sticks hitting them, which actually isn't annoying to me. Hearing that makes your mistakes more pronounced; you'll notice if you're a split second off on timing. I'm certain which sticks you use will change how much clicking you hear.I honestly think these are a great investment, especially since the price for the set is so reasonable. They don't feel flimsy at all, and I expect them to last quite some time. They also spare my family and neighbors from having to listen to my terrible drumming!

Totally sweet!

These are great. They have the feel of normal cymbals but sound really quiet, though I really wish they were a little quieter. But they are a hell of a lot softer sounding than normal cymbals.
