Two hot humbucking pickups are ready to rock

Look, when you're talking about a Les Paul, you're talking about that big, fat, smoky humbucker sound. You've got that nice chunky neck in your left hand, and you're grabbing big, fat power chords and soloing all up and down the fingerboard. So Gibson put two huge-sounding humbucking pickups on this baby, with hot alnico magnets - a 490R in the neck position and a 498T in the bridge position. Take it from the Sweetwater crew - this Les Paul has the classic sounds you want and expect from a Gibson.

Select woods for killer tone

The Les Paul Special '50s Tribute body woods present a combination of clarity, definition and treble bite from the maple, and excellent depth and richness from the mahogany, elements found in the classic Les Paul Standard tone. The chambering adds a further dimension, increasing the complexity of this guitar's tone, while also increasing its acoustic volume.

Minimalist design is all you need for great performance

Gibson opted to omit frivolities such as a bound neck and body. The Les Paul Studio '50s Tribute really is more than the sum of its parts: old-school pickups, premium electrical components, minimalist finishing touches, and a worn-in feel all merge to make the Les Paul Studio '50s Tribute a great guitar that any Les Paul enthusiast would love. A limited number is available, and at this incredible price, they won't last long. Call your Sweetwater Sales Engineer today to secure your very own Les Paul Special '50s Tribute.

PLEK'd for precision playability

This Gibson Les Paul Studio '50s Tribute 2016 T feels fast and precise, thanks in large part to PLEK processing. Typically reserved for top-dollar custom guitars, this process levels the frets with pinpoint precision, providing you with the most playable fretboard you're likely to own. Each note rings loud and clear, and the fret edges feel smooth as silk.

Great Guitar!

A real Les Paul, great tone and great feel. Bought one for my GF as a B'day gift! She loves the satin finish. Great value. Unlike making a cheaper Les Paul the made a real Les Paul but were able to offer it a bit cheaper since it doesn't have some of the fancy cosmetics as some of the more expensive ones do. Great guitar for the price!

Super Killer Guitar!

I always wanted a American made Les Paul but was scared off by the price, i didnt think I was good enough to have such a nice guitar. I saw this guitar at Sweetwater, played it locally and I knew Santa was going to leave it under the tree for me. Hats off to my rep Andrew, he guided me in the right direction and even gave me a history lesson about the color. I asked Andrew to play a couple of them and he said he loved the one that I picked out online. Right out of the box it was set up perfectly and ready to go. Thank you Andrew and Sweetwater!

Great guitar

I love everything about this guitar . It sounds great . It looks beautiful . Very comfortable to play . I'm glad I made the purchase

Classic American Icon

The 50's Tribute Les Paul lives up to Gibson's advertising. It looks and plays beautifully. I have medium size hands and the 50's curved neck felt great. Chords were easy to reach and play. The quality of the finish was better than I expected. My guitar was 8lbs 3oz, and felt balanced. From blues to rock this guitar does it all very well. It has fast action and great sustain. I considered other higher end famous make guitars that cost about the same, but they were made in Asia. For the money you can't go wrong. I have owned other Gibson's and have been to the Nashville plant and I knew I had to have an American made Icon. Sweetwater made it easy. Don't hesitate to buy one!

Just what I wanted!

I have always wanted a gold top! For the price I am completely blown away! It is exactly what I wanted and hoped for. I love the finish and have big hands so the fat neck feels perfect. Thank you Roq for all your help and I will send all my friends your way!!!
