From hand-selecting the wood to final approval of each guitar, Lee Roy Parnell is part of the process in creating each Gibson Custom Lee Roy Parnell Signature '57 Les Paul Goldtop. Many of Lee Roy's personal tweaks to his instrument have been incorporated in this signature model. An extended cutaway gives you better access to the upper frets of the guitar. This cutaway doesn't look any different from the front, but at the back an extra 7-degree back-angled contour has been added for extended access your entire fretboard. The new Big Block cavity leaves more wood in the pickup cavities giving you enhanced resonance and tone.
