I bought this cable so I can control the cab settings thru my HX edit software. It's very convenient to have the audio connection and controls via one cable...highly recommended when connecting this cab to a Helix.

Excellent quality and function as adverticed

The Line 6 L6 Link Cable - 20 foot - Medium cable that I bought definitely functioned precisely as it was designed to...Which basically was instead of 2 XLR cables for stereo connection, you only have the Line 6 L6 Link Cable performing the two in one functions...It works I love it...Thanks

Line6 L6 Link Cable is 20" long for connecting my Helix to my Powercab Plus enclosure ... works great but would like to see a little heavier gauge cable for the longer L6 since it is across the front to back of stage area, and susceptible to getting stepped on, rolled over, etc. (versus the shorter 6" cable that connects my 2 Powercabs behind me)

The L6 cable allows me to control the power cab plus via HX edit. With the L6, a single cable sends audio and control to the power cab plus. I can have one preset put the power cab in FRFR, another preset can put the power cable if LF Flat or Raw, or an IR loaded into the power cab or one of the speaker models. I can't say about any of the other Line 6 devices that use an L6 cable. I do have an HD500X with L6 and I should be able to experiment with it. I saw another review where the person said he had to use midi. If you have a midi driven set up then sure but midi isn't necessary with Helix .
