Bose L1 Model 1S with B2 Bass Module.

Love the Bose towers. Set up went from an hour to under a half hour. They work as advertised.

Your Search is Over

Just bought two of these systems (L1 Model 1S/B2 Sub) for my Jazz trio/quartet group. I waited for a month before writing this review to give it a fair amount of use in different situations. Simply put, unless your in a loud heavy metal group playing huge clubs, this is all you need. Using two of these systems covers all situations and venues, and it sounds better than anything else currently available. And don't think these systems can't kick out major sound, it fills any room, the B2 subs adds great depth, and the sound quality is a game changer. Like all of the other reviewers, bite the bullet, cough the heavy bread, and step up to the big leagues of live sound production. This is the best product available for live playing particularly for trios, quartets, jazz and blues musicians, pop groups, acoustic based performers, and classic rock bands. Nothing, and I mean nothing makes your vocals sound so clean and full, and keyboards and horns kill in these systems. Basses and guitars also sound full and gritty. And guess what, it is a dream to pack around and set up compared to the work of packing traditional PA and monitors. Thank you Luke, my Sweetwater sales rep., for talking me into getting two of these. Your Search is Over musicians.

Great Bose System!!

I purchased the Bose L1M1SB2 System in August to dj a small club (about 2000 sq. ft.) The sound is amazing and more importantly, the audience is amazed!! I'm on the verge of purchasing my second Bose system because I'm receiving requests for larger venues. The best small-business decision I've made...and the best little (and easy to set up) sound system on the market.

Seriously Impressive

I purchased 2 of these L1S systems with the B2 Modules for our band's main PA. At first I was apprehensive, as these certainly are not inexpensive, but when I figured in that I don't have to worry about a separate stage monitoring system -- speakers, EQ's & power amps -- I made the decision to go for it. I immediately recognized the very high level of quality during the process of opening the packages and assembling the systems the evening of the day they were delivered to my home (free shipping!). I told my wife I felt like a kid at Christmas -- make that a 4-year-old kid at Christmas! Bose engineering obviously did their advanced quality engineering in terms of packaging, assembly integrity and for user reliability (quality covers included) -- you can feel the quality! Then I got to try the two systems out the next evening with the band I'm in (classic rock/alt-rock) and confirmed everything that was promoted about these systems -- the full range sound quality, the clear uniform sound dispersion, and the absence of a monitor system without feedback. The B2 Modules almost seemed to be overkill, but I am certain I will wind up appreciating the extra bass when we play larger venues or outdoor gigs. The 3 settings for "+, Normal, and -" on the back of the B2's provides great flexibility for matching the overlall Bass SPL for the type of venue. I will also be using this system for a travel-system for the chrurch worship team I'm part of. Bottom Line -- about 2 months after receiving these L1's, I realize this has definitely been one of my best purchases! The performance, quality, light weight, portability, quick set-up and versatility prompt my 5-Star rating. I was also very much impressed with Sweetwater and the level of attention to assure my questions were answered (Thanks Adam!) along with the free shipment and fast delivery.

Clear and clean

We run everything through one of these sysems. Guitar, Bass, Bass Drum, and Vocals. We use a Peavey PV10 unpowered mixer. There are no amps on our stage. Everything is run through Tech 21 Sansamps and to the mixer then straight to the Bose. I wound never have considered Bose until they came out with the B2 because I wanted a simple system that would put out the lowest note on a 4-string bass with ease. We set the B2 at maximum bass which is the setting for DJs. Since we have no amps, it makes sense. The bass is fantastic. I can hear everything now. Singing is so much easier when you can actually hear yourself as everyone hears it. It fills the room we are in and the next room with ease. I have never gotten so many compliments on the music in one night ever in my life. I told the owner of the place we play to time me because I thought I could set it up in less than two minutes. He quit looking at his watch because I was already done. I am running it just past the second mark on the dial. That would be 2 out of ten on the dial. Now even my harmonica can be heard. The drummer made a comment about never really hearing the words to some of the songs before. I am amazed.
