Equal parts tube drive and super phat mod
Sweetwater's tone purists believe that you can never have enough tube warmth in your signal chain, and the Tube Drive’s 12AX7 offers the warm, rich tone you can only get from a valve running at proper voltage. Add touch-sensitive breakup to your clean amp on light gain settings, or push your driven amp harder with generous amounts of gain and volume. The Super Phat Mod adds its own legendary character, full of dynamic, transparent overdrive and boost tones alive with harmonic content thanks to its unique JFET design. Each side sounds fantastic on its own, but the real magic happens when you run them together. From subtle grit to scorching lead lines, there’s an infinite palette of saturation waiting to be explored in the Keeley Tube Drive.
Simplicity and versatility
While this pedal's straightforward control set is simple to dial in, the Tube Drive has a number of features that elevate it well above your standard drive stompbox. A remote TRS input jack on the rear panel lets you control each side of the pedal externally. Here, Tip is assigned to Drive and Ring is assigned to Tube, allowing the Tube Drive to be fully integrated into complex pedalboard setups. The Tube Drive also accepts power from 9-18V center-negative power supplies, allowing you to choose the right amount of headroom for further tone shaping. Lastly, every Keely-branded 12AX7 tube used is carefully selected and broken in, a custom Keeley tube shroud offers protection, and a vented rear panel ensures proper airflow for long life and optimal performance. It adds up to a dual overdrive pedal crafted specifically for those in constant pursuit of tonal perfection.
