Love the fact that it's chainable
This is a great beaterless kick pedal, which is the perfect addition to my TD-1K. I live in an apartment, and keeping the noise to a minimum is paramount with my drum kit. This upgrade allowed me to chain the kick pedal that came with my TD-1K to the kick trigger input so I could have a beaterless double-kick setup with minimal ambient noise.
THIS KICKS BUTT!!!
I have always owned other brands of kick trigger`s and this one is the only one thats perfect right out of the box. I have not done any adjusting and it has yet to hiccup or double trigger one time. But I`ve only tried it on shag carpet so far for two weeks. Nice and sturdy heavy and built to last im defiantly a happy camper. Im using it with my Octapad SPD-30 system and its working perfectly. In fact, im so pleased with its performance Im going to buy another one that will plug right in to its imput for double kickin pleasure.

The only thing they could do for inprovment is add about a half inch to the lag screws.
And here's an idea, how about a small lil mesh head.
Oh and as always, the service and advise you get from Sweetwater is super. The candy's great too!

Solid, Aesthetic and Feels Great!
I bought the pedal used and wow this thing is great! Been playing it for over a year now with my edrum setup and have been loving it. It feels pretty good quality and using it feels pretty smooth. My only complaints would be that it needs velcro because the spikes aren't enough to hold it down. I find myself positioning it pretty often but it doesnt bother too much. Its hard to put something heavy in front of it because it might hit the beater. That and the price but if you can find it used for cheaper its a great deal. I wanna find something similar for my acoustic drums, which would probably be something with direct drive. Oh and dont play barefoot too much because mine has a footmark lol.

Solid Roland KT-10 Kick Trigger Pedal
I purchased this pedal to be part of a small SPD-SX Pro cocktail kit, aiming for a lightweight, easy-in, easy-out setup for smaller venues.

Out of the box, this pedal worked well with my flat-foot kick drum playing style. The pedal has a heavy-duty build and a solid design, ready to withstand significant foot abuse. Most of my intricate footwork could be performed using this pedal. However, playing forcefully using the ball of my foot and executing quick double strokes required some adjustment to the pedal's feel. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by its performance.

This pedal shouldn't be expected to replicate the feel of your favorite bass drum pedal on an acoustic bass drum. If you need an easy-to-play, great-feeling, heavy-duty electronic kick pedal for this type of application, or if you're replacing a pedal and pad from an older Roland or another brand's kit, this is an excellent choice.
Incredible device

Recently, I found I didn't have enough room for a typical double kick pedal to accommodate a VAD516. I instead opted for this, and it hurt to swallow the price, but this thing is a beast of a machine and it's built like a tank.

I've played all sorts of kick triggers from different brands, and this device mimics the feeling of an actual kick pedal more than any of them. Far more. I'd say that it's as on-par, if not better than the kick drum that came with the VAD516.

It feels like you have an entire extra kick drum right next to you, but it's really just this device. It's powerful. $ is steep and is the price of an entire cheap budget e-drum kit... But it is absolutely worth it.

Simply put, modern electronic music wouldn't exist without Roland. Many of the electronic musicians here at Sweetwater cut our teeth on TR Rhythm machines and fondly remember programming our first TB-303s. We owe a good part of our careers to this amazing and innovative company. It's been fun to watch and grow right alongside Roland, as they've introduced wave after wave of revolutionary keyboards, digital pianos, and more. For example, Roland's V-Drum Kits continuously redefine the possibilities of electronic drums, beginning with SuperNATURAL technology to the latest Prismatic Sound Modeling. We're huge fans, and we'd love to tell you all about them. Whether you want a pocket-sized synth or a cutting-edge video mixer, if Roland makes it, then Sweetwater is 100% behind it.
