Heavy base to keep stable
I like the heavy metal base to keep the mic stand stable, it does not rock or move like the three legged stands. It is easy to to position the height and boom, but I wish the boom was a little longer.
Stability, Very Solid Build
When stage space is tight and you've gotta use a small-base mic stand, this one has the weight and stability to handle heavy mics easily. The boom arm has a great, tight grip on the mics and stays in position. It's great in my studio during a crowded session, too. Definite keeper!

Super Solid Stable and Robust!
Being the lead singer and guitar player in a power trio, I needed a microphone boom stand robust and stable enough to not only hold a microphone but also an iPad and a metronome. My metronome is a TAMA Rhythm Watch RW200 that mounts on essentially a tom mount. I have a TAMA Quick Clamp that is intended to hold a mounted Tom drum to a cymbal stand. The OnStage tripod stand I was using was hardly adequate for the job. Enter the K&M 26145! This stand is no joke! A very heavy and stable base holds a super long mic stand. The upper extension holds a fair sized boom. I can clamp the metronome to the thick mic stand with ease. My iPad clip connects to the upper extension. The boom is long enough to extend in a way that I don't need to lean to far over my pedalboard to sing and can still see the iPad and metronome. This is a solid, stable, robust mic boom stand for professional applications. It is perfect for me as a singing guitar player that needs accessories on the stand, but it would be great in a studio, a drummer, tons of applications!
Solid Mic Stand
As a singing drummer, I was always looking for a sturdy, heavy based (non-tripod) mic stand with a short boom - as we all know sometimes drummers have to set up in tight spots!!- This K&M Mic stand filled all those requirements for me - solid, heavy duty stand. Love it!!
Rock Solid
I've learned the lesson of "Buy cheap, and you buy twice." My cheap tripod mic stand fell apart, and I decided to buy this one. It is super solid. It's heavy and well-built. I've used it a few times on gigs now, and I don't have a complaint at all. The round footprint is smaller than the tripod style, so that's handy for gigs with small areas to set up.
