At Sweetwater, we were delighted to learn that the JUNO-DS61 is compatible with all of the previous-generation JUNO-Di's patches. That means that longtime JUNO users won't have to start from scratch!

If you're a stage musician, the Roland JUNO-DS61 gives you tons of easy-to-access sounds right out of the box. That being said, the JUNO-DS61's adjustable parameters and hands-on controls provide you with plenty of opportunities for experimentation. Not only does the Roland JUNO-DS61 come with a massive collection of top-quality sounds, its internal waveform expansion capability gives you access to over 1,000 free EXP sounds that you can download from Roland's Axial website. You can download acoustic piano collections, world instruments, go-to studio standards, percussion, loops, and more. You can also load your own WAV files into the JUNO-DS61 and play them from the keyboard. Superb-sounding vocal effects for solo performers

The Roland JUNO-DS61's microphone input is tailor-made for solo performers and singer/songwriters. First of all, it provides you with a dedicated vocal reverb to add depth and ambience to your voice. You also get Auto Pitch, so you can create the popular "stepped" electronic vocal effect. Plus, you get a vocoder, allowing you to sing into your mic and control the tone and pitch of your voice via sounds played on the JUNO-DS61's keyboard.

Capture your idea with the 8-track sequencer

With the Roland JUNO-DS61, you'll never have to worry about losing a musical idea, thanks to its onboard 8-track sequencer. Roland Juno-DS61

I just cant stop playing my Roland Juno-ds 61 keyboard i would recommend this keyboard to anyone it is awsome. Thank you so much sweetwater oh and thank you for the candy.

Great board

This board has so many sounds. I love the vocoder and pattern sequencer. Very easy to use. Works great recording my music into my Studio one daw. Just wish it could record all 8 tracks only outputs a stereo signal from usb to computer. But thats minor compared to all of it other freat features. Love this board!

Versatile performance-oriented Keyboard

This new model from Roland is versatile, with a wide variety of quality voices that are easy to switch in a performance environment. I use this keyboard in my worship team with where we play a variety of current songs, often switching patches several times within a single song, and this board just plain "works". User performances are straight-forward to program, and the controls are easy to use, especially if you have experience with previous Roland keyboards. Out of the box, the feel of the keys was very different from my old Roland JV-50, but I adjusted to the touch very quickly, and used it effectively in worship only 4 days after it arrived. The sensitivity is just right and quite responsive with piano patches -- it doesn't feel like synth-action keys. There is also a huge upside of programming power available for future use. This is also my first experience with Sweetwater, and the service and guidance I received from Charlie Davis was outstanding. Financing and order placement was simple and streamlined, and Charlie took the time to find out "how" I would use this model, and affirmed other worship leaders' positive experience with the DS-61. Shipment was made the same day I ordered, even though it was mid-afternoon, and delivery was on-time. It was enlightening to learn that Sweetwater has a single brick-and-mortar location because I was only familiar with their online presence, but they have a huge product inventory. Sweetwater Music out-performed other major online music equipment sources I've used previously, and I would not consider using another source for future purchases.
Music background: Worship Leader for 25+ years

Roland has a real winner here. I had the juno di which was good but the juno ds is a better improvement. The controls are one the left side which I like better. the pads button are nice. they included more new organs which sound excellent. and there is a few more added sounds which also sound excellent.also you can get the EXP1+2 from the roland website to download for more great sounds. it's also lighter than the di. the 8 track sequencer is easy to use. and you also have a vocoderwhich allows you to select different waveforms to vocode. well worth $700

DS-61 Roland

Luckily I waited longer to buy this DS 61. It's so versatile and built to the satisfaction of any musician. It's provides hours of satisfaction and there so much more to discover. It's definitely worth evey penny and a must if you are looking to buy a keyboard.

Sweetwater Advice

Aaron Swaidner

I bought the JUNO-DS61 to add a ton of great sounds, including many of Roland's greatest hits, to both my studio and live synth rig. Building custom patches is easy, and I can always download free libraries from Roland's Axial website. The USB storage slot lets me save my backing tracks, which I can play back from the pads. It's also great to be able to easily dial up my saved performances, and there's a lot more to the JUNO-DS61, making it an incredible keyboard for the money.
