Awesome Offset for Young Guitarists

Start your young player off in style with the uber-cool Mini Jazzmaster HH electric guitar from Squier. This 3/4-size axe is lightweight, easy to play, and has a full-sized sound. The Mini Jazzmaster’s HH configuration uses two standard humbucking pickups to churn out larger-than-life rock ‘n’ roll attitude. Additionally, its simple three-way toggle switch, single volume knob, and single tone knob layout offer a great way for beginning six-string slingers to explore different tones. When introducing their kiddos to the world of guitar playing, parents at Sweetwater love the Squier Mini Jazzmaster HH, a perfect guitar for your aspiring musician.

Compact and lightweight

The diminutive Mini Jazzmaster HH body is roughly 3/4 of the size of its older brother. Its short 22.75-inch scale length makes long-stretches and bar chords far easier for young players, and the slim “C” profile maple neck sits comfortably in smaller hands. The Mini Jazzmaster HH also makes an excellent travel companion for older players who can’t stand to be away from their guitars for too long, since it can be easily stowed in overhead airplane compartments.

Huge humbucker tone

Stocked with two Squier standard humbucking pickups, the Mini Jazzmaster HH has a full-bodied sound with plenty of grit, perfect for rocking out. Unlike the full-sized Jazzmaster and its notoriously complex electronics, the Mini Jazzmaster HH is a streamlined affair. A three-way toggle switch lets you switch between or blend the bridge and neck pickup, for plenty of tonal variation. Close your eyes, and you won’t believe such a massive sound is coming from a guitar of this size!

Cool indie rock look

Since the 1990s, offset guitars, like the Jazzmaster, have become icons of indie music. With their cool look and distinctive sounds, they’re a great alternative to some of the more common guitars. If your young musician is more into Tame Impala than the Rolling Stones, the Mini Jazzmaster HH is an ideal choice. Along with its standout looks and stellar tone, it comes equipped with a great hardware package, including a synthetic bone nut, die-cast sealed machine heads, and a hardtail bridge, so your little one can slam away without constantly falling out of tune.

Squier Mini Jazzmaster HH Electric Guitar Features:

  • 3/4-size Jazzmaster guitar, perfect for beginners and young players
  • Two massive-sounding humbucking pickups
  • Real maple neck and fingerboard
  • Slim “C” neck profile and 22.75-inch scale length
  • Chrome hardware and tuners

Birthday Present.

Bought this as a birthday present for a buddy's kid that wants to learn how to play. It's what you'd expect for $. It'll be great for him to learn on until he's ready for a full size.
Music background: I’m not a rockstar but I played one on TV.

Get the work done

I look at this guitar like an old Honda Civic. You have a great foundation but it needs some tweaking. A lot of the comments talk about the neck and tuner. I had both of those worked on/upgraded before I got it. Brought the price up to north of 600 but very much worth it. Happy with my purchase!

Squier mini jazzmaster , daphne blue

Fender makes the most comfortable feeling guitars. I really like the 3/4 body. Many women probably do. I like the neck also, the wood feels brand new. Also, the neck is slim, great for smaller hands. The tone is twangy, and I will be playing this more to get a feel for the electrics. I've played acoustic for decades so this is me getting my feet, aka hands wet. It is a good guitar and I commend Fender for making quality guitars for the person who appreciates a nice small guitar and not many bells and whistles. We exist!! Great for rhythm playing. My only wish is a whammy bar.

Junk tuning machines

Purchased one of these for my nephew who had a very easy time learning the uke, and was getting decent results on my full-size guitars. Learning on this guitar proved frustrating however, due to very poor quality tuning machines. After a week or so I decided to buy locking tuning machines from StewMac. Now it actually sounds like a real guitar. I find it troubling that Fender would sell a guitar for youth's that does not stay in tune; that will surely frustrate and dissuade future guitar players. It only cost me $60 for the upgrade, so I'm certain they could do it for much less at the factory. Whoever decided to use junk machines on these models should be flipping burgers. Otherwise it has been a great guitar, so I suggest ordering upgraded tuning machines if you order one of these guitars.
