Room-rattling Bass at a Wallet-friendly Price

The Squier Affinity Series Jaguar Bass H puts hard-rocking Fender bass tone and feel into your hands at an incredible price. Its single ceramic humbucker packs a serious low-end punch, with volume and tone knobs to dial in your preferred sound. The Affinity Series Jaguar Bass H's fast-playing maple neck is capped with a 20-fret maple fingerboard, the perfect combination for light-speed runs from head to heel in absolute comfort. Plus, players of all skill levels will surely benefit from the Affinity Series Jaguar Bass H's medium scale length, making this bass easy to pick up but incredibly difficult to put down.

Single ceramic humbucker delivers the goods

Sometimes, all it takes is a single humbucker to pump out thunderous sounds that sit comfortably in a mix. Squier utilized this straightforward approach while constructing the Affinity Series Jaguar Bass H, loading it with a single ceramic humbucker that bellows when pushed to the limit and backs off wonderfully when playing softly. Sweetwater players can't get enough of this pickup's full-bodied sound and clarity. It works exceptionally well for genres of all kinds, making the Affinity Series Jaguar Bass H a fantastic beginner bass and a formidable backup for gigging musicians.

Fast, comfortable neck with a medium scale length

The neck on Squier's Affinity Series Jaguar Bass H is made from solid maple with a matching maple fingerboard, tailor-made for fast playability and stellar response. Its 20 medium jumbo frets provide you with added playing comfort, keeping hand and finger fatigue at bay and producing a wonderful tone. Best of all, its 32-inch scale length makes it a breeze for guitarists to transition to bass without overstretching their fingers. Meanwhile, it's also easier for beginners and players with smaller hands to adapt to the neck.

Squier Affinity Series Jaguar Bass H Features:

  • Fender quality with great Squier value
  • Single ceramic humbucker gives you powerful bass tones with plenty of versatility
  • Volume control and master tone control let you dial in your own sound
  • Fast-playing maple neck with 20 medium jumbo frets and maple fingerboard
  • 32-inch medium scale length feels comfortable in the hands of beginners, players with smaller hands, and guitarists looking to add a bass to their collection

Perfect.

This bass is exactly what I was looking for. Perfect and in playable condition right out of the box. I gave this 5 stars not so much for the bass itself but the customer service of Sweetwater. Super helpful and with me every step of the way. I really appreciate that, as well as the affordable prices. The hype of this jag is real and the upgrade potential is crazy. I highly suggest this bass if you're into modding or starting out. Anyway, my whole experience was amazing, and that's solely thanks to Sweetwater. No I'm not paid or sponsored or anything like that. Just a dude. Keep slapping y'all.

Pleasantly surprised

I bought this Jaguar on a whim as an instrument I could use for outdoor gigging without worrying about about using one of my more expensive basses. As a consequence my expectations were not that high for a $ bass. I was pleasantly surprised.

Squiers have reputations as having terrible fret ends, at least the lower cost instruments. I have a Squier strat that I had to spend an entire day working on to get them decent. I did read somewhere that Indonesian Squiers are worse than the Chinese and that held true as this bass is made in China. I'm actually impressed.

The single Humbucker wired series has a massive tone. I like the tone but there isn't quite the definition I like personally. I plan on replacing it with a Lace Man O'War and add a 3 way switch.

I replaced the bridge with a solid brass high mass bridge that I had which really helped with the sustain and added a little weight to the body so it balances a little better.

Although it's turned into a mod project, it was completely playable and actually enjoyable to play out of the box. I minor setup to my preference and I really enjoyed practicing with it. The neck is good and I was able to adjust to a very low action which is my preference.

Overall a very nice bass

outstanding value, a few tweaks

I bought the Jaguar because it was a great deal and I wanted to try out the style without spending a lot of money. It is a beautiful, well made instrument, especially for the price. I did make a few changes. I installed a Fender HiMass bridge. It made the balance perfect and was a drop in fit. The furnished strings were awful but I never use round wound anyway. A set of Fender 9050ML's took care of that problem nicely. Standard length strings are fine for this 32" scale bass. Short scale strings don't fit. 32" strings aren't required. I lastly added a pair of Strat knobs for looks. The sound is different from my P Bass, Mustang PJ and Jazz V. It is perfect for country, having a bit of growl and edge to it. The pickup also has a stronger than average output. I couldn't pass up the deal and am glad I bought this bass.

What a deal !

I bought this bass because i wanted to see what a single pickup was like. I have played bass for 30 plus years an have never liked an instrument as much as this one. I own 7 electric basses and 2 uprights and this is my go to everyday

Great bass

I've been playing the bass since 1974. I've owned a lot of guitars and basses over the years. This is the best playing bass (out of the box) I've ever owned.
