Experience Jackson Speed and Fury

The Jackson JS22 Dinky solidbody electric guitar was made to create sonic mayhem. The amazingly affordable JS22 Dinky serves up massive tone and killer sustain courtesy of its arched nato body, tremolo tailpiece, and two high-output ceramic humbuckers. You'll appreciate the playability of the maple speed neck and fat-fretted, compound-radius amaranth fingerboard that allows you to transition more easily between rhythm and lead playing. Whether it's your first electric guitar or you're simply looking for a great value, you'll be impressed with the Jackson JS22 Dinky.

Jackson high-output pickups deliver aggressive tone

Looking for rock-solid metal tone? The Jackson JS22 Dinky delivers. That's because Jackson equips the JS22 Dinky with a pair of their custom-built ceramic-magnet humbuckers. These high-output humbuckers give you plenty of punch and serious bite whether you're plugging into a tube amp or using amp modeling. We've played a lot of guitars at Sweetwater, and we're impressed with the bang for your buck you get with the JS22 Dinky.

Compound-radius fretboard delivers maximum playing comfort and performance

The JS22 Dinky features a 12"-16" compound-radius fretboard for ultimate playability. This bound amaranth fingerboard (complete with classic Jackson shark fin inlays) is rounder near the nut for easy rhythm playing. As your playing heats up and moves up the Dinky's fretboard, the radius flattens out for easier runs and big string bends. With a neck that plays this slick, you'll be up at the 24th fret before you know it.

Classic Jackson looks and attitude

If you're after a guitar that looks as mean as it sounds, the Dinky body shape alone is enough to convey instant attitude. Factor in the arched top, Jackson's distinctive headstock, black hardware, and shark fin inlays, and you've got one confrontational-looking guitar.

Jackson JS22 Dinky Solidbody Electric Guitar Features:

  • A high-performance guitar for an amazingly low price
  • Lightweight and resonant nato Dinky body conveys instant attitude
  • Dual Jackson custom humbuckers with ceramic magnets deliver hard-hitting high-gain tone
  • Compound-radius amaranth fingerboard feels great for rhythm and lead playing
  • Fretboard binding for a smoother playing feel
  • Slender graphite-reinforced maple neck plays fast and smooth
  • 2-point tremolo tailpiece for maximum expressive potential

Reviews

I love it!!!
I just got it like a week ago and I already love it. It's super light, fast, and easy to play. Some ppl were complaining about sharp frets but I didn't get any of that. It just needed a small truss rod adjustment and some loosening on the trem springs and it was good to go.

The pickups are okey dokey for a guitar this price, but I'm planning on swapping them out with something else.

I mainly played an epi les paul before I got this and I'm telling you the light weight on this is a lifesaver on my back.

Overall, I'm insanely impressed by how comfortable and easy it is to play and how beautiful it looks in the simple wooden finish. Very happy with the bang for my buck and I would definitely recommend this to anyone. I personally got this with the intention of modding it to get a good guitar without breaking the bank, but this would be perfect on its own for a beginner.

Unbelievable!

Didn't expect much when I purchased this guitar. Figured why not at the $ price.

I'd pay $ for this! Neck is super straight and feels great. The back plates are flush with the body.

Pickups are nice also. Binding and frets are nice and smooth. Buy one now. If I was Jackson I'd raise the price considering the quality of this guitar!

Great bang for the buck
I have over 25 guitars but had never even held a Jackson so ordered one to check out and was impressed with what a modding platform it is.
Love it !!!!
This was given to me just last night, by a local friend. When I got it, the strings were like 11s and had very high action w/ tuning issues. Well I'm 65 and have over 53 years experience so, I immediately tightened up all of the hardware and then put on a new set of Fender 9-46s , After that, I reset the intonation and to my surprise, I can not believe how awesome this guitar sounds. It stays in tune forever and just reeks of tone. I love 80s Metal and this guitar is just perfect for me. Plus the finish on it, is beautiful as well. Some people say that the stock tuners are crap, to which I disagree. Set it up properly and make sure they're tight, then they will work. I wish I had bought one of these when they first came out. Jackson Rocks !!!!

Great Guitars - I own two (so far)
These are great guitars for any level player. I own the blue and the Natural Oil models, so far. The value for the money is outstanding, and I like these better than some guitars I have owned which were over $1,000.

The experience with shopping with Sweetwater is always good. Salesperson was very helpful and proactive with a shipping issue that I caused myself with a typo.

Here are some of the great features, not in any order. I have nothing negative to say.

- Light weight
- Easy access to high frets
- Great pickups
- No buzz. Great setup out of the box.
- Low action
- Well marked fretboard (I like better than dots)
- Looks cool without being flashy or specific to a musical genre
- Very affordable
- Buy every color for standard tuning, half-step down tuning, Drop C and Drop D.
- Durable
- Stays in tune without annoying (in my opinion) Locking tuners or bridge
- Smooth neck, no fret burrs
- Great neck feel, easy to fret and reach advanced cords
Music background: Amateur musician
