JPXI 6

I purchased this guitar a little quick because it was discounted nicely because of a very small nick that you cannot see if you do not know where to look,I was looking at a lot of Petrucci's models and liked their specs and tonal options like the Piezo, most have 17" radius fretboards and this model has a 20" I did not no this till after. It is very flat like a classical nylon accoustic at first I was thinking I will not like it but I gave it some time and have become to like it alot very easy to bend and make shimmering vibrato's and fast riffing and string skipping I just can't get lazy making bar chords F,F sharp and B, B flat at least for "my" index finger, but a very minor complaint,I need more playing time to make a thicker calous! The neck thickness is perfect for my taste, fairly slim. I love the ebony fretboard thee best wood for fretboards IMO and it looks great on the all black onyx axe! Awesome quality guitar also what I like about this model it uses Alder body and maple top most other JP's use basswood,so it stands out in a nice unique way compared to all other JP's.Awesome tone and sustain from the Dimarzio's very responsive to vibrato, staccato's palm muting and pinch harmonics cut through so great this beast begs you to play it and this is exactly what I needed...something to inspire me! Music Man and John Petrucci did a great job on this JPXI.Thank you Sweetwater and Roc Martin!
