Pigtronix's Most Expressive Looper Pedal Yet

Equal parts performance tool and songwriter's sketchbook, the Pigtronix Infinity 3 looper pedal is destined to become a permanent part of your live, rehearsal, and studio workflow. With this next-level looper, you can harness two independent stereo or split mono loops to toggle verse/chorus accompaniment in a live setting. Each loop includes its own level control, so you can build dynamic mixes based on the way you play. You can also pull from a bank of 50 of your own pre-recorded loops (up to 3 hours in total length) to access instant inspiration anywhere you write or play out. As with all Pigtronix pedals, the Infinity 3 looper spares no expense when it comes to features or signal path. Plus, 24-bit/48kHz stereo recording with discrete analog limiter stages and a transparent analog audio pass-through makes this pedal every ounce as choosy as your boutique pedal fleet. Features that further distinguish the Infinity 3 include stereo I/O to capture stereo delays on reverbs on the way in and out, a 24kHz/12kHz switch to give parts a 3-octave reach, an extremely responsive Sync Multi loop capture, and a 5-pin MIDI in with clock jitter correction for simpler integration with DAWs, drum machines, and more. The bottom line? The Pigtronix Infinity 3 from Sweetwater is dual-looper pedal that's all-in on sound, speed, and ease of use.

No tap dancing required

The Pigtronix Infinity 3 offers incredible functionality for live looping. Using its adaptive Sync Multi option, most actions you trigger are automatically applied at the boundaries of the current loop. This eliminates the need for spot-on timing to switch between loops or stopping your loop at the correct time. You'll be surprised by the way the Infinity 3 turbocharges your workflow and makes it easy to build full songs. This makes looping as natural as tapping your foot along to the beat!

Stereo I/O with room to grow

The Pigtronix Infinity 3 is chock full of ins, outs, and expression jacks to support your workflow. The stereo inputs and outputs integrate this looper nicely into a stereo pedal setup or solo performance. What's more, you can use the Infinity 3's dual inputs to assign multiple mono sources to its dual loops — great for capturing multiple isolated sound sources and playing them back in sync. This looper also gives you 1/4-inch TRS Expression and Undo jacks, which you can use to control loop levels via an optional external expression pedal or assign undo functions to a dual-momentary remote switch.

Advanced MIDI capability

The Infinity 3 gives you a 5-pin MIDI in port and advanced intelligent MIDI clock jitter correction, allowing you to incorporate its production potential into a whole world of MIDI devices. From DAWs to drum machines and pedals, the Infinity 3 is an essential tool for external device users.

How 'bout all those switches?

Beyond its impressive I/O and MIDI capabilities, the Infinity 3 gives you a wealth of ways to shape and capture audio.

  • 24kHz/12kHz: Reduces the internal 48kHz sample rate by one-half and one-quarter. Resultant loops will sound 1–2 octaves lower in pitch and will play back at half- or quarter-speed. These options are super useful for simulating bass instruments, creating rich vocal harmonics, and producing ultra-fat percussion sounds.
  • Cue Fade: Rather than loops stopping abruptly when the Stop footswitch is pressed, this option introduces a steady fade-out until the end of the loop cycle.
  • Arm/All: In Arm mode, the Stop footswitch ends playback only on the armed loop. In All mode, the Stop switch ends both loops. These options also apply to Play and Erase commands.
  • Stereo/Split: Stereo mode (default) records incoming audio in stereo, which is great for capturing stereo pedals, synths, and mixer feeds. Split mode assigns incoming audio from Input 1 to Loop 1 and incoming audio from Input 2 to Loop 2. This comes in handy when you want to capture multiple isolated sources and play them back in perfect sync.
  • Parallel/Series: This switch toggles parallel and series operation. In parallel mode, Loop 1 begins immediate playback when Loop 2 starts recording. In series mode, Loop 1 closes when Loop 2 enters recording and won't play back until the next time you hit the Loop 1 footswitch.
  • Sync Multi: As with past Pigtronix loopers, one of the Infinity 3's calling cards is its looping simplicity. This switch synchronizes the loop length of each overdub to align rhythms, percussion, and melodies in perfect harmony. This means no more tap dancing to get the perfect loop starts and stops.

Reviews

Sooner Looper
I am really having fun uncovering all the features of the Pigtronix Infinity III and I'm glad I purchased it.
Infinity loops my interest
It's been a lot of fun so far. It requires some practice, but the results are quite satisfying. Good tonal presence, sequency and consistency. As far as capabilities for the cost it's well worth the price. I would certainly recommend.
Music background: Several years of recording and performing experience.
Favorite looper on the market
I've tried Boss, TC, and now this. This is hands down the most feature packed looper I've used, and it's very easy to use. It does take a while to get familiar with all the features and modes because it can do so much, but anyone can start basic looping right out of the box. The two loops in series mode, with different loop lengths, makes building a real song a breeze and takes the bedroom practice sessions to a whole new level. I can't recommend this pedal enough. It's so good, I may have to try some of their other products that I probably have no need for, but now I want. lol
Great but a lot of white noise
As far as functionality I love this pedal. I used to use Ableton to live loop but this achieves the same functions and syncs very well to midi clock. However there is an insane amount of white noise hiss when the master volume is anywhere past 12 o clock. And if u record a loop that white noise will get even louder. It seems not everyone has this issue so I thought I had a faulty pedal and sweetwater quickly sent me a replacement, unfortunately the same issue persists. My work around is to keep the master volume around 10 o clock and turn my amp up but that introduces some amp noise, but I'm just going to accept it since it will only be used live. Sweetwater customer service has been great as usual, this issue is no reflection of them. I really love this pedal but wish pigtronix would fix this issue. I would give a lower rating but honestly I love playing this pedal and it's gorgeous to look at, if the white noise wasn't an issue I would give it a perfect score
Infinity 3
Works well. Closer to what I was looking for. Not a fan of the master volumne control controlling the overall output of the sound. Too much white noise past 1:00. Decided to put the looper into a separate switcher to pull it out of line when not using. Otherwise great sound and intuitive to use.
