My perfect guitar

I've had this guitar since March 2013. It is absolutely perfect for my playing style. I never could get the tone I've wanted out of my amps. I own a Mesa Stiletto, a Marshall DSL100, and an Orange Dual Terror. I've previously owned an Egnator Rebel 30. Every amp seemed lacking in some way, and what I didn't realize was the amps weren't lacking, it was my pickups. Enter the Godin with stock P-Rails that could also be active with Godin's H.D.R. system. It's a match made in heaven. My go to selection is HD turned on, humbucker bridge, p-90 neck. For clean sounds, nothing can beat the combo of a single coil bridge and a p-90 neck. Need some twang? Try two single coils or two p-90s. It's all there and more... This guitar has made me a life long fan of Godin and Seymour Duncan. Every original song I play is active, but with cover songs I can choose passive pick-ups for a more vintage sound. It's nice to be able to have the choice. With my personal style, I constantly switch between pick-ups during songs, so that the base of my tone is right for the part I'm currently playing. Even if you are the opposite of me, and tend to stick to one sound, I would recommend this guitar to find that sound. There are so many combination's that I personally had never been able to hear, and for studio work, it's a dream come true. The only mod I would consider for this guitar is a switch to be able to switch the pickups from series to parallel.

Amazing guitar

I have been playing mine for 3 gigs a week for a year now and it is still my go-to guitar for covers. I have my favorite pickup combination choice but the diversity lets me find something very close to the original rendition of the songs on the playlist for the week. I love the thin neck and lightness of the guitar also. The burst is so much prettier in person than any sales picture. Really a gorgeous guitar all around!
