I own 4 of these particular clamps (along with larger ones, tablet holders, extension arms, swivels, etc all from Triad Orbit). I have a large diaphram condenser studio mic (actually 2) supported in my vocal booth with these, as well as a small capsule mic for guitars in the booth. I recommend over anything else on the market.

And I've had the pleasure to meet all of the Triad Orbit crew numerous times in Anaheim during the NAMM Shows. They are SUPER helpful and a very cool team. They helped me out with suggestions before I ever bought a thing - and remembered me the following year (and I still had not purchased). Following that I ordered from Sweetwater with my Sales Engineer Andy Miller. I am working on eliminating as much floor footprint in my studio as possible and using Triad Orbit to mount everything on walls, ceiling, desk, etc.

Get a few of these clamps along with a small arm and a swivel and you'll be amazed at how versatile they are and how much you can accomplish!

The Triad-Orbit IO-C Clamp is the 5th Orbit Clamp I've purchased. I keep finding amazing uses for all of their products and it makes my work around the studio much easier, more efficient, more flexible, and a lot more creative. I've got large condenser mics coming from my vocal booth ceiling and can quickly adjust to any singer for height and angle, and quickly interchange mics without unscrewing anything.

I have the iPad in my vocal booth set up the same way and can not only run lyrics on it for singers, but if I'm using it to record myself I can have my DAW remote software set on it and position it anywhere i want in a matter of seconds.

I have 2 light diffusion panels on my studio walls to give good lighting for videos. I have them mounted to Triad-Orbit gear as well - just seconds to set perfectly.

Expensive? At first look, yes. But the ease of use and amount of creative things you can do with these - not to mention how extremely well made they are - will make them a "must-have" tool in your creative journey!

This is my update and resubmisson of my previous review of the Triad Orbital IO-C mounting clamp.

I contacted Triad Orbital about this problem about 1 year ago. When I asked about this issue with the blue rubber hardening. They were very polite and said they would send me some replacement blue inserts for the clamps.

Life goes on. However, they never showed up. I must state I dropped the ball and forgot to contact them, asking if they shipped them out. I only presume they got lost in transit and never made it to me.

After posting my first reveiw. I went to their wesite and clicked on suport and provided my address and stated the problem. Within an hour or two I was contacted and was told they are sending out another set to me. Thank you Triad Orbital for the fast response and getting these out to me. They arrived yesterday and I have got the new blue rubber grips installed into the IO-C clamps.

I am looking forward to purchasing more of the IO-C clamps. I was informed there is a new material being used for the blue protective inserts and that they will not harden up. I am very happy with the suport and the products from Triad Orbital. I will certainly be purchasing more of their products. They are very well packaged and have a satisfactory presentation factor that will assure anyone that they made a good purchase.

This clamp makes it easy to use a boom or stand for more than one mic. Well made and does the job.

All the triad orbit products are outstanding. I bout the clamp and the flexible extension arm after I had already used several other strands and booms from Triad-Orbit. I mix them all around for many uses and this clamp allows for use with booms, arms, guitar holder, iPad holder....all parts work together for many uses......expensive but worth it.
