Chauvet DJ’s Intimidator Trio XD innovatively combines beam, wash, and effect into a single moving head. The motorized zoom is the fixture’s not-so-secret weapon, a common feature cleverly applied to create sweeping, smooth transitions. From a tight 3-degree beam to a broad 22-degree wash, you can punch a shaft through haze one moment and flood a wall with color the next. Likewise, six quad-color RGBW LEDs supply 270 watts of source power, and a continuously rotating honeycomb face adds a genuine effect-light dimension, layering complex looks over the beam and wash work. Deep DMX control runs up to 52 channels, and a strong, corrosion-resistant carbon fiber composite housing ensures lightweight durability. With an onboard D-Fi transceiver, RF remote support, and both 3- and 5-pin XLR connections, the Intimidator Trio XD delivers beam, wash, and effect from a single, easily integrated point, giving mobile and installed rigs the capability of three fixtures in one compact unit.

Wireless-ready and quick to integrate
Sweetwater DJs know that a fast, cable-light setup can make or break a load-in, and the Intimidator Trio XD is built for efficiency. Its onboard D-Fi transceiver handles wireless DMX and leader/follower linking without running cable across a venue, and a built-in RF receiver adds handheld control via the optional RFC and RFC-XL remotes. When you’d rather patch in directly, both 3- and 5-pin XLR connectors are available, with a choice of 16, 23, or 52 DMX channels to match the depth of control your show needs. The Intimidator Trio XD also features power linking for chaining multiple units from a single outlet, a USB-C port that makes firmware updates painless, and a full-color LCD that lets you set, save, and recall a scene right on the fixture.
Beam, wash, and effect in motion
The Intimidator Trio XD earns its name from an effect engine designed for constant motion. Beyond the zoom’s beam-to-wash range, the rotating honeycomb creates swirling, dimensional looks, and built-in auto programs with zone control let you conjure complex sequences without programming every step by hand. At its narrowest 3-degree setting, the fixture throws an intense beam measuring over 124,000 lux at two meters, cutting decisively through haze and ambient light. Pan and tilt ranges of 180, 360, or 540 degrees and 90, 180, or 270 degrees keep the movement sweeping and dramatic. A 0Hz–20Hz strobe rate and built-in Totem Mode round out the feature set, with the latter keeping beams trained on the dance floor where the energy belongs.
