The ID:X Floor Three includes 12 electric amp models, three bass amp models, two acoustic voices, and an acoustic simulator, along with 35-plus studio-quality effects, a power valve Response switch, and an expression pedal for real-time parameter control. You also get USB-C connectivity for seamless audio interface functionality, deep editing and patch sharing via Blackstar’s free Architect software, and the ability to store up to 99 patches for instant recall. Complete with an OLED screen for straightforward navigation, a convenient MIDI input, and stereo balanced CabRig outputs, the ID:X Floor Three is a veritable tonal powerhouse. Compact and lightweight, the ID:X Floor Three puts a vast universe of sonic options squarely at your feet.

Delivers an inspiring playing experience

When we plugged into the ID:X Floor Three here at Sweetwater, we found that its intuitive, knob-based control set and powerful DSP combined into an incredibly inspiring playing experience. This powerful multi-effects pedal houses 12 component-level guitar amp models comprising classic Blackstar and Ampton tones, as well as three bass amp models, two acoustic voices, and an incredibly convincing acoustic simulator. Moreover, Blackstar’s patented ISF feature lets you shape your sound in myriad ways, while a power valve Response switch enables you to toggle between EL84, EL34, and 6L6 emulations. Beyond that, with over 35 premium effects, an expression pedal for real-time parameter control, and exclusive “In The Room” technology on tap, every note feels alive and dynamic, making the ID:X Floor Three a true all-in-one solution for players craving authentic tube tone and maximum sonic flexibility.

Loaded with gig-worthy features

The Blackstar ID:X Floor Three offers exceptional flexibility and convenience for modern players — all from a single floorboard unit. The ID:X Floor Three can serve as a complete system; you can route it directly to front-of-house, or you can deploy it as a professional-grade effects board in front of a traditional amp. Moreover, thanks to USB-C connectivity, this multifunction stompbox doubles as an audio interface. Need deeper editing? Blackstar’s free Architect software has you covered. Finally, the ID:X Floor Three’s OLED screen ensures straightforward navigation and clear visibility, while the ability to create, store, and instantly recall up to 99 patches gives you total control over your sound in any setting.

Next-generation CabRig speaker simulation

Rather than forcing you to lug an unwieldy cabinet around, Blackstar loaded the ID:X Floor Three with top-notch speaker simulation. Dubbed CabRig, the ID:X Floor Three’s cab sim technology replicates the sound and feel of a miked guitar cab with exacting detail. While IR-based speaker simulations provide a realistic snapshot of a raging cab, they often possess inherent latency, as well as phase issues, when you mix more than one. CabRig’s advanced speaker simulation algorithm re-creates a speaker, cabinet, mic, and room with zero latency or phase mismatches. You get your choice of cabs and microphones, both on- and off-axis, along with room characteristics and absolute control over how much or little of this you blend in. And everything can be accessed using Blackstar’s powerful Architect software. To top it off, the ID:X Floor Three enables you to route your miked-cab sound through stereo balanced CabRig outputs, a stereo TRS headphones output, or through the unit’s built-in USB-C audio interface.

What is Certified Open Box Gear?

At Sweetwater, we're so picky that what we call "Certified Open Box" is actually better than what most music retailers sell as "new" gear! Our gear hasn't endured hundreds of people a week plunking away at all the keyboards, fumbling through Stairway to Heaven on every guitar or playing with every fader and knob on a mixer or control surface.

Certified Open Box (also known as a demo) means we’ve had it out of the box for our YouTube channel, displayed at events, tested in our studio, or maybe it was in a customer’s hands for a few days and isn’t ‘factory fresh’ as a result. Every Certified Open Box item we sell has Sweetwater’s 2-year Total Confidence Coverage™ warranty and has been tested and verified up to ‘new’ specs by our factory-authorized technicians to make sure it’s in perfect working order before we ship it to you.

When you buy a Certified Open Box item at Sweetwater, you get:
  • 2-year Total Confidence Coverage Warranty™!
  • Products inspected and tested by our factory-authorized techs, guaranteed to function like new (or better)!
  • FREE shipping on most items
  • Equipment that will MEET or EXCEED your expectations!

Reviews

This thing rules!
I've had it for a couple weeks now having pre-ordered. I have a little ten watt Blackstar practice amp and have been impressed with the crunch and lead tones coming from that, so was excited to see the floor 3 debut and couldn't wait to get my hands on one, and I am not disappointed!

I've had BOSS ME, Valeton GP200, Katanas, Line 6, MOOER and a few others, this blows them all away in terms of sound quality, playability, and ease of dialing in tones.

THE PROS:

- Sounds killer! Tones ranging from crystal clean, dirty and shred all sound amazing. The built in presets are all solid and great places to start modifying for your own sounds.

- Simple to use - I haven't even plugged it into my computer, everything is easy to dial up right on the board.

- Laid out like a REAL pedal board - dedicated boost, modulation, delay and reverb buttons. All assignable but I haven't even bothered. It's exactly what you need for playing live! I'm running mine through the front end of a Fender Deluxe and it's replaced most of my random individual pedals.

- NO AUDIBLE LATENCY. I'm sure there's a tiny bit but I can't hear it or feel it. I've owned several multi-fx amp simulators and they've all had that annoying latency where the unit can't keep up with your speed.

- No digital fizz and no annoying compressor hum - most multi-fx / amp simulators have a biting sharp high end fizz to them that is tough to EQ out.

- Very responsive when rolling off the volume. There is no "noise gate" like compression that so many others have that makes it impossible to roll off the volume on your guitar. This responds like a tube amp, if your axe has a treble bleed you'll be able to get those glassy low volume shimmers and swells without that on / off compression noise.

THE CONS - not many, but your mileage may vary.

- No on / off switch. That's just strange but not a deal breaker. I've got mine running on a power strip with on/off switch. The main breaking point of failure on these is always going to be the power jack, so keeping it plugged in and solidly in place is key, so power it on and off with a power strip.

- Expression Pedal - a little wonky to engage and it feels kinda cheap like eventually it'll break if you stomp on it too hard.

- The Tuner - it sucks, not very responsive and not very accurate. Not a dealbreaker for me but definitely not something I'd trust on a gig.

- Switching banks - having to press on two buttons to go up and down is ungainly as hell and likely to result in some serious balancing issues on stage. I've set mine up multiple gain stages on each bank so no need to switch banks during songs, but if I had to I'd probably wind up with an ankle injury.

BOTTOM LINE:

I'm sure there are a few things I'm missing here but I am really knocked out by this little box!

I don't use it for recording or editing on my computer, but I'm quite sure it excels there too.

If you are a GIGGING musician and looking for something easy to replace a pedal board or go direct into a PA and still sound excellent, this is the one for you!
