Inside, an algorithmic-driven compressor automatically identifies the areas of the frequency range in a mix that consume the most energy but do not contribute to an instrument’s or vocal’s actual tone and then compresses them using progressive attenuation. Unlike traditional compressors, which uniformly reduce the signal RMS above a certain threshold, IDX Intelligent Dynamics works to boost the important frequencies. The result?
