Blackstar's ID Amp That's Powerful Enough for the Stage

Blackstar's ID:Core 150 digital combo amplifier contains all of the tone-tweaking power and wide stereo imaging of Blackstar's ID:Series and injects 150 watts of power, creating a stage-ready amp. The ID:Core amplifiers boast six channels that range from vintage-style American clean tones to high-gain sustain. And features such as programmable presets, onboard effects including a looper, and a USB output for software-based deep editing and direct recording make the Blackstar ID:Core 150 combo amp a great option for players wanting to use the same amp at home as on the stage.

Blackstar ID:Core 150 Combo Amplifier at a Glance:
  • Wide range of customizable tones
  • Onboard effects including a looper
  • Plenty of power for live performance
Wide range of customizable tones

The ID:Core 150 contains six selectable voices. Each can be selected, dialed in with level, bass, middle, and treble controls, and saved to one of the amp's preset locations. These presets are then accessible via buttons on the amps control panel or via the included footswitch. Blackstar's ISF knob dials between more British or more American voices. The amp's USB output accesses Blackstar's free INSIDER software for deeper editing and enables direct recording. And you'll be blown away by how wide of a stereo image this amplifier's two speakers deliver.

Onboard effects including a looper

Once your tones are dialed in, you'll enjoy access to the ID:Core's onboard effects. Reverb, delay, and octaver, and modulation effects are all available and easily controllable via the amp's TYPE control. They can also be saved in your presets. Another powerful feature in the ID:Core amplifiers is the built-in looper. Simply start a loop to record, then switch to a different one of your preset tones and lay down another track. You'll enjoy unlimited overdubs with controls for undo and clear for editing your performances.

Plenty of power for live performance

Blackstar's ID:Series of amplifiers are incredibly popular, and we sell a lot of them at Sweetwater. But there is a demand for those same features in an amplifier that offers enough power for live performance. The ID:Core answers the call with 150 watts of power. This is plenty to compete with any drummer, and it delivers enough headroom to keep the amp from struggeling at these volumes. And two 10" speakers are used for their balance of punch and clarity, while helping keep the amp at a featherweight 27.5 lbs.

Blackstar ID:Core 150 Combo Amplifier Features:
  • Digital combo with a wide range of tones
  • Wide true-stereo sound
  • 6-channels for multiple classic amp tones
  • Built-in looper
  • Fully customizable presets
  • Onboard effects with tap tempo fill out your tones
  • USB output access deep editing software
  • Line/headphone output is speaker emulated
  • 2 x 10" speakers
  • Footswitch included
The ID:Core 150 takes a ton of great amp tones to the stage.

Great amp

Swiss army knife of amps. I haven't hardly touched my engl Fireball LOL.

Astounded

This amp I tell ya. Well first off let me start by giving a shout out to my sales engineer Stuart Niven who is always helpful and extremely polite. He saw too it that the amp was at my doorstep within two days, even though I ordered it late on a Friday afternoon. (Sweetwater, he deserves a raise). But back to the amp. Just wow. I'm not one for amp effects (I use a Vox tone lab among other pedals) but this amp has lots of awesome effects as well as a looper and a foot switch. If you are looking for an amp with lots of effect ranges, this definitely suffices. My favorite things about this amp: -excellent tone and sound, can be clean as whistle, or nice and crunchy, whatever you need -gets way loud (played a show with it, my PA mic had problems, and this little guy was able to keep up with our drummer and other guitarist both going through the PA) -unbelievably lightweight. The other guitarist helped me bring our gear inside, and was in shock and awe when he picked it up and observed how light it was (as well as a sturdy handle) -The price is right, Payed a couple hundred more for a different brand (no name dropping) and wish I could take back time and go right to this beauty. -It looks gorgeous IMO, I like how the input and nobs are on the top, great engineering on Blackstar's part.

Extremely Versatile amplifier.

Owning the ID60 head was familiar with their ideas. This has the same extreme quality effects but with a spacial stereo quality that one has to hear to understand. The only area have to learn is the panel has three banks of three (9) memory buttons. It says you can go to 35 but hard to understand on that from their directions. Would recommend the optional larger foot pedal to get a read out for those. The software is excellent and really easy to organize and again the effects quality is way higher than some others have used. Clearly a HIGHER RESOLUTION digital design. Plenty of power as usually raise the thing off the floor and tilt but not needed at all. Bass city even with 10" drivers thunderous bass if you dial it up. The supplied foot pedal was a surprise of plastic. My ht-20 is steel. But on the other hand some plastics today are really strong so see how this does. The buttons are nice momentary not the concrete click ones.Should be okay.
