The Punk Rock 12-string!

Fender's Tim Armstrong Hellcat-12 Acoustic is based on the Rancid guitarist's favorite beat-up '60s Fender acoustic guitar. The original 6-string Tim Armstrong signature acoustic is one of Fender's best-selling acoustic models ever. Fender keeps the vibe of Armstrong's time-tested axe, but gives it a touch of modern flair and style, captured in the "Hellcat" logos on the 3rd, 5th, and 7th frets. The Tim Armstrong Hellcat-12 Acoustic sounds fantastic unplugged - thanks to its solid mahogany top and mahogany back and sides. But, onboard you'll find a Fishman Isys III preamp with a built-in tuner, so you can take the stage with your Tim Armstrong Hellcat-12 Acoustic.

One Heck OF A Guitar !!!!!!!!!

Before I tell you about the guitar I'm telling you about how great Sweetwater is to do business with. THEY ARE OUTSTANDING. My engineer Tom Koch treats me as if I'm his only client, What a guy!! I'm a Fender guy so I knew this was going to be a nice guitar. I was a bit nervous that it was manufactured in China but Fender's quality control is good with their overseas factories. This guitar is well made and sounds sweet, easy to play, stays in tune, and fingers easily. The tuning keys are a bit plain but I'm not going to bang the whole guitar because of the keys. This is my first 12 string. I own several solid body six string Fenders so I have some playing to do, There's nothing like paying my own music. THANK YOU SWEETWATER..
Music background: I've been playing guitar for over 50 years.I guess that makes me a pro.

Great Guitar

I looked at this guitar probably a dozen times before I bought it. I was not really thrilled with the Hellcat logos on the neck. I wanted a 12 string acoustic with a concert sized body without paying a fortune like some of the Taylors. I am glad I bought it, because it has great sound and plays easy. I am getting used to the logos. The rest of the guitar is beautiful and flawless. For a 12 string it seems to stay in tune nicely and the tuner works fine. Overall a great 12 string for the price.

Great 12 String at a Great Price

I purchased the Hellcat-12 based on reviews from the web and price because I needed a 12-string for some songs. I didn't want to spend a ton of money because I have enough invested in guitars and only needed one for a handful of songs. I was shocked and amazed when I got it in my hands! It feels great with a shallow body and maple neck. The action is very close to my Taylor 414 which is saying a lot at 1/3 the price. The tone is clean and true through the Fishman preamp. I tested the onboard tuner against a Snark (clipped on the headstock) and Korg Pitch Black (through the cable) and it's dead on. I'm not crazy about the tuners but they do the job. The overall tone is very midrange and balanced. This is a great all around use 12-string and I would buy it again if something happened to this one.
