The Past and the Present in One Guitar

Schecter's Hellraiser Hybrid C-1 solidbody electric guitar was built for today's technically-minded player, and those looking for the classic humbucker tones of yesterday. A mahogany body topped with quilted maple offers up a tried-and-true tonewood combination. A vintage-voiced set of EMG active humbuckers ensure optimal tonal clarity with high-headroom. But the compound-radius fretboard and thin neck profile provide all the performance modern players demand. Carbon fiber binding and glow-in-the-dark side dots round out the Hellraiser Hybrid C-1, and give it a look that means business.

Aimed at boundary-pushing playing styles

One thing Sweetwater guitarists love about Schecter is their devotion to giving their players exactly what they want. Based on feedback from players like you, Schecter loaded this Hellraiser Hybrid C-1 with an Ultra Thin C profile neck and their 12"-16" compound-radius fretboard. This offers you comfortable rhythm work, with nothing holding you back from wide vibrato and extreme string bends. And the glow-in-the-dark side dots are a real treat when playing on a dark stage.

Get hot-rodded PAF tone from this pair of EMG pickups

If you're looking for a wide range of tones that can go from subtle to brutal then you're going to get a kick out of the active EMG 57 and 66 pickups loaded in your Hellraiser Hybrid C-1. A departure from some of EMG's higher-output models, the 57 and 66 are aimed at offering you extreme clarity and high headroom, making them work wonderfully for almost any style of playing. And they definitely make a striking visual statement with their brushed black metal works covers.

Both traditional and innovative design

So many classic electric guitar tones were born of the warm sound of mahogany and the bite of maple. And the Hellraiser Hybrid C-1 carries this tradition forward with a stunning quilt maple cap, while also adding some of its own design elements for ultimate playability. The sculpted body sports an increased upper cutaway that provides you unrestricted access to your higher frets. And the satin finish on the back of the neck allows you a comfortable playing experience similar to the feeling of raw wood.

I was looking for a 6 string with a longer scale length for alternate low tuning for ....well pretty heavy slow and low groove metal. I tried playing some baritone's but my hands are too small and the action and play ability was terrible. I usually prefer a Gibson scale length, 24 3/4", but low tuning gets too sloppy. I found the 25 1/2" with this setup is just right as long as I stay under a drop C tuning. I'm going to try different string gauges and setups...can't wait. Oh and the pickups? Wow! I thought I hated active pickups? It's like they're focused in on the sound you want and and push the envelope too the max. I actually use the tone control and volume now to get more or less push and! It's so much more versatile than what I had hardwired in my mind. It definitely does it's best work Shedding,

Very Good

I am not one for shreading and playing loud and fast. I stumbled across this guitar in Sweetwaters retail store and I just love it. Typically I play blues and calssic rock and suprisingly this shread mechine not only suited my needs but exceeded them. The EMG pickups are the clearest sounding active pickups I have used next to the Fishman Fluence line. The overall feel and playability was exceptional. The neck was comfortable and fast, thanks to its satin rubbed finish. Very impressed. Perhapse the best value for a any rock guitr under a grand.
