14-in/16-out audio interface in a convenient PCIe card
The sheer power and versatility of the HDSPe AIO Pro are pretty remarkable for something that fits into a single PCIe slot. There are two channels of analog I/O, ADAT with S/MUX, S/PDIF and AES/EBU, and MIDI I/O, plus a high-power headphone output. The HDSPe AIO Pro’s powerful digital routing mixer, TotalMix FX sports 760 channels with 42-bit internal resolution. You also get DIGICheck, RME’s unique metering and analysis tool. To top it off, you can easily add breakout cables to gain more features, such as balanced analog I/O and MIDI I/O (make sure to call your Sales Engineer for more information). Here at Sweetwater, we’re impressed by the HDSPe AIO Pro — it packs a lot of power into an unassuming PCIe card.
SteadyClock FS technology delivers ultra-stable performance
Boasting the same SteadyClock FS circuit as RME’s reference-class ADI-2 Pro AD/DA converter, the HDSPe AIO Pro takes self-jitter to new lows. It eclipses its predecessor’s already impressive performance with an upgraded analog PLL circuit and referencing both Direct Digital Synthesis and PLL to a low-phase-noise quartz crystal. In fact, the HDSPe AIO Pro’s self-jitter reaches levels that are usually only available in master quartz clock mode, even while running in PLL mode. Thanks to this updated circuit, the HDSPe AIO Pro reaches jitter specs as low as a femtosecond. Just to put it in perspective, that’s 1/1,000,000,000,000,000 — or one quadrillionth — of a second!
High-level analog stages net unbelievable sound quality
Like its SteadyClock FS circuit, the HDSPe AIO Pro’s analog stages are also derived from the ADI-2 Pro. This audio interface offers tremendous flexibility, and it integrates easily with a wide range of audio systems. Its unbalanced analog inputs include switchable sensitivity with +24dBu, +19dBu, +13dBu, and +4dBu options. Its unbalanced analog outputs include switchable +19dBu, +13dBu, +4dBu, and –2dBu reference levels. (An optional XLR breakout cable is available for balanced analog I/O with switchable +24dBu, +19dBu, +13dBu, and +4dBu reference levels — call your Sales Engineer for more information.) Beyond that, you get a dedicated attenuator in the HDSPe AIO Pro’s output section, supplying you with an outstanding signal-to-noise ratio and lower output impedance at low reference levels.
