Software Compatibility

Most software is compatible with both Mac and Windows computers, but check to make sure.

If you're using Pro Tools, AAX plug-ins (or RTAS for older versions) are what you need. Most other Mac DAWs support AU plug-ins. VST is compatible with a number of Mac and Windows programs. Be sure you choose plug-ins that work with your DAW!

Conjure Feedback with Your Amp Sim!

NOTE: This product requires that you have an iLok account for authorization, although it does not require a physical iLok key. Please call your Sweetwater Sales Engineer if you have questions.

Softube's Acoustic Feedback plug-in injects even more feel into your amplifier simulator than you've ever experienced before. Insert Acoustic Feedback BEFORE your amp simulator plug-in and enjoy on-demand feedback. That's right; just sustain a note and hear the same sweet feedback you'd enjoy with a full-blown amp setup - but through your computer! Acoustic Feedback only kicks in when you sustain a note, so you needn't worry about it getting in your way at other times. Complete your virtual guitar sound with the Acoustic Feedback plug-in from Softube!

Softube Acoustic Feedback Feedback Simulator Features at a Glance:
  • Realistic simulation (physical modeling) of guitar feedback
  • Fully responsive to vibratos, bends, slides, tremolos etc
  • Simple user interface: Control amount of feedback with the Feedback knob, and the sensitivity with a Tolerance knob
  • Compatible with foot controls via MIDI
  • Includes a stripped-down, but extremely useful, version of the White amp from Vintage Amp Room
  • Available in native VST, AU and RTAS format for both Mac and PC

Acoustic Feedback

For Feedback to work properly it requires a constant signal of high input for the software to generate feedback. Very inconvient. Usually when a guitar is generating feedback the actual guitar signal is lowering itself.

Sweetwater Advice

Matt Emick

Only us guitarists would be trying to put feedback BACK into the signal path! But all kidding aside, the Softube Acoustic Feedback is a really unique plug-in. It's great for adding some life to DI guitar signals.
